Zhangjiajie to Fenghuang Ancient Town High Speed Train (1 hour) – Efficient Way

For independent tourists, you can also choose to travel from Zhangjiajie to Fenghuang by high speed train. There are more than 15 high speed trains operating from Zhangjiajie West Railway Station to Fenghuanggucheng Railway Station. The earlist departure time is about 08:00 and the latest is about 21:00. It takes about 1 hour driving only, but you need to take a bus or a taxi to get to Fenghuang Ancient City which is 10 km (about 20 minutes’ drive) away from Fenghuanggucheng Railway Station. ● Zhangjiajie West Railway Station (张家界西站)

Location & Detailed Address: Wulingshan Avenue, Shadi Street, Yongding District, Zhangjiajie City, Hunan Province (张家界市永定区沙堤街道武陵山大道)

Transportation: It is about 14 kilometers from Tianmen Mountain (about 0.5 hours by driving), about 20 kilometers from Zhangjiajie National Forest Park (about 0.5 hours by driving), and about 9 km (about 20 minutes by driving) to Zhangjiajie downtown.

● Fenghuanggucheng Railway Station (凤凰古城站)

Location & Detailed Address: Fenghuang County, Tujia-Miao Autonomous Prefecture of Xiangxi, Hunan Province (湖南省湘西土家族苗族自治州凤凰县)

Transportation: Fenghuanggucheng Railway Station is about 10 km away from Fenghuang Ancient Town (Fenghuanggucheng). It takes about 20 minutes to drive between the two places.

By Bus (3.5-4 hours) - Budget Option

The suttle bus between Zhangjiajie and Fenghuang Ancient Town is limited. If tourists want to set off in the morning, its earlist departure time is 8:50. The driving distance betweem two places is about 240 km and it costs 3.5 to 4 hours to drive. The tickets is CNY 90 which is cheaper than taking taxi.

How to Get from Fenghuang Ancient Town to Zhangjiajie

A small part of travelers choose to visit Fenghuang Ancient Town first and then head to Zhangjiajie to see the Avatar Mountains and experience the thrilling glass bridge at Zhangjiajie Grand Canyon or Tianmen Mountain. Similarly, travelers can take train or book our private car service to Zhangjiajie. However, there is no shuttle bus from Fenghuang Ancient Town to Zhangjiajie currently.

Fenghuang Ancient Town to Zhangjiajie High Speed Train (1 hour) – Efficient Way

Taking a high speed train from Fenghuang Ancient City to Zhangjiajie is the most efficient way. There are about 15 high speed train for you choice as well, and all of them from Fenghuangucheng Railway Station to Zhangjiajie West Railway Station.
