With plans to cover Xiamen City with more than 224.2 kilometers and 122 stations, Xiamen Metro, or called Amoy Transit Rail (AMTR), will help both the locals and the visitors get around Xiamen quickly and easily. At present, Xiamen Metro Line 1 and Line 2 with a length of 71.9 kilometers in total have been opened to the public. These two lines can take visitors to more than 56 metro stations in Xiamen, including the ones close to Xiamen North Railway Station and Xiamen International Cruise Terminal. Other Xiamen metro lines like Line 3, Line 4 and Line 6 are still under construction and are said to be opened in 2022.

If you want to discover more culture and nature highlights to Fuzhou, Quanzhou, Anxi, Putian, etc., plan 1-2 more days for each destination. If you are interested in photography, add 2-4 days to shoot Xiapu Mudflat in Ningde City.
