The plum rain period is from the late June to the early July. The most recommended time to visit Nanjing is the short and comfortable autumn from October to mid-November. Nanjing Seasons to Go

In Spring
Spring is from March to May. Numerous flowers like peach blossoms, plum flowers, orchids, sakuras, begonias, etc. are blooming to dress Nanjing into a gorgeous lady. In this season, the weather warms up, and it is humid, with changing temperatures. It may warm up for a few days and turn cold later. Winter steps into Nanjing in December and the cold air from northwest may bring the city cold rain and even snow, though Nanjing is southerly. January is the coldest month with a temperature dropping as low as -7°C (19 F) sometimes, so snow is frequent in winter.
