Guangzhou is located about 136km northwest of Hong Kong. If you prefer high speed trains than flight, you could make a transit at Beijing. The bullet train from Hong Kong to Beijing needs only 9 hours around. And bullet trains from Beijing to Harbin take about 7 hours around. The whole train travel journey needs only about 16 hours. However, you couldn’t catch the two trains in one day as the train from Beijing to Harbin is gone when you arrive at Beijing from Hong Kong.
