Travel from Beijing to Luoyang: High Speed Train & Flight

Beijing West Railway Station (北京西站)- High-Speed Railway Station

Location: No.118, East Lianhuachi Road, Fengtai District, Southerst Beijing (北京市丰台区莲花池东路118号)
Distance: about 8 km, 30 minutes’ drive to Beijing downtown (Tian’anmen Square), 40km to Beijing Capital International Airport, 55km to Beijing Daxing Airport.

Travel from Beijing to Luoyang by Flight

Beijing Daxing International Airport (北京大兴国际机场) operates one daily direct flight to Luoyang Beijiao Airport (洛阳北郊机场). The flight needs about 2 hours. But you need to schedule at least 2 hours ahead of time for security check and boarding. So it may not have much time advantages over high speed train. Location: Daxing District, Beijing & Guangyang District, Langfang City, Hebei (北京市大兴区礼贤镇、榆垡镇及廊坊市广阳区交汇处)
Distance: about 55 km, 1 hour’s drive to Beijing downtown (Tian’anmen Aquare).

Luoyang Beijiao Airport (IATA:LYA)
Location: Mangshan, Laocheng District, Luoyang City (河南省洛阳市老城区邙山)
Distance: about 11 km, 30 minutes’ drive to Luoyang downtown, 26 km, 40 minutes’ drive to Longmen Grottoes.

How to Plan a Beijing Luoyang Tour

Usually, a classic Beijing Luoyang tour needs about 4 ~ 6 days. All the essences of the two cities can be covered.

There are three kinds of tickets are provided on high speed train from Beijing to Pingyao, Business Class Seat, First Class Seat and Second Class Seat. Second Class Seat is the most budget level you will share a row space with other passengers. And the First Class of Seat is more comfortable and quiet for those who prefer a good rest on the way. Book, Collect, Alter and Cancel
