From 24 October, 2019, for the comprehensive upgrading construction of Xian Railway Station East Square, all the original tourist buses there will be transferred to other bus stations. The ones to Terracotta Warriors are adjusted as below:

1. Tourist Bus Line 5 (Bus 306) will be transferred to Fangzhicheng Bus Station (纺织城客运站). You can take Bus 42 or metro Line 1 to get there (about 1h) from the railway station.

2. Bus 914 and 915 will be transferred to Sanfuwan Bus Station (三府湾客运站). You can take bus 20, 28, 49, 176, 191, 286, 719, 912, etc. to get there or just walk there (1.5km, 20min on foot).

Where Are the Terracotta Warriors

Terracotta Warriors is located at the north of Lishan Mountain, Litong District, Xian City. It is a little bit far from Xian downtown (about 40km) and is about 66km to the east of Xian Xianyang International Airport.

How to Get to Terracotta Warriors from Xian Downtown

Terracotta Warriors is about 40km to the northeast of Xian center (Ancient City Wall). At present (August, 2019), Tourist Bus Line 5 (Bus 306), Bus 307, 914, 915, and Lintong 826 will take you there and you need to get off at Bingmayong Station (兵马俑站). When you wait for the bus at the bus station, there may be people approaching you saying that they can take you to the tourist bus. It is better not to go with them, because the “bus” they are talking about is not run officially. Tourists can also take a taxi to get to Terracotta Warriors. But please kindly note that to take the legal ones with a taximeter or you may be charged with more money.

Giant Wild Goose Pagoda About 45km, 70min by car 1. Take Bus 500 at Dayanta South Square Station (大雁塔南广场站) to Dayanta North Square Station (大雁塔北广场站) and transfer to Bus 307 to Bingmayong Station (about 2h in total)

How to Get to Terracotta Warriors from Xian Xianyang International Airport

Terracotta Warriors is about 66km from Xian Xianyang International Airport. You can transfer between these two places by airport shuttle bus, intercity bus, or taxi.

Option 1: Airport Intercity Bus + City Bus (about 2h in total)

You can take airport intercity bus to Lintong (临潼) at the first floor of GTC (Ground Transportation Center) at T3. Then transfer to Bus 914 and get off at Bingmayong Station (兵马俑站).

Duration: about 70 minutes

Ticket: CNY 31.5

Option 2: Airport Shuttle Bus + City Bus (about 2.5h in total)

Tourists can take Airport Shuttle Bus Fangzhicheng Bus Station Line to Fangzhicheng Bus Station first and then transfer to Bus 307 and get off at Bingmayong Station. The shuttle bus operates from 7:30 to 19:30 and departs hourly. The ticket fare is CNY 25 per person.

Option 3: Taxi (about 70min)

Taking a taxi to Terracotta Warriors is more time-saving and will cost about CNY 200. There are fixed taxi stands where you can find legal and licensed taxis at the Exit Arrival of T1, Exit 211 of T2, and 1st floor of Ground Transportation Center (GTC) of T3.

There are 3 train stations in Xian, namely Xian North Railway Station, Xian Railway Station, and Xian South Railway Station.
