How to Get to Tongli Water Town from Suzhou 2024

It is available to get to Tongli Water Town by metro as well. Metro Line 4 is the only metro line running from Suzhou City to Tongli Metro Station. It starts from Longdaobang (龙道浜) in northern Suzhou and passes through 29 stopover stations, like Suzhou Silk Museum and Suzhou Railway Stations, taking about 1 hour and 10 minutes totally. If you travel from Suzhou Railway Station to Tongli directly, it needs about 1 hour. If you travel from Suzhou North Railway Station or other attractions (like Lingering Garden, Tiger Hill, Pingjiang Road…), you need to take a bus or other metro lines first and then transfer to metro Line 4. Tongli Metro Station is about 5 kilometers away from Tongli Water Town Scenic Area, so you need to take a 40 minutes' bus or a 10 minutes' taxi to reach the scenic area. Suzhou Beiguangchang Bus Station (苏州北广场站)

Address: No.1455, Suzhan Road, Gusu District, Suzhou City (苏州市姑苏区苏站路1455号)

Located in the north square of Suzhou Railway Station, Suzhou Beiguangchang Bus Station is easy to get to after you arrive at Suzhou Railway Station by train. It is also available to get there by metro Line 4 and many public buses from Suzhou's main attractions, like Humble Administrator's Garden, Lingering Garden, Tiger Hill, Suzhou No.1 Silk Factory, etc.

Suzhou North Bus Station (苏州汽车客运北站)

Address: No.29 Xihui Road, Gusu District, Suzhou City (苏州市姑苏区西汇路29号)

Suzhou North Bus Station is located near Suzhou Railway Station as well. It is about 2 km away from Humble Administrator's Garden, about 4 km away from Lingering Garden, about 5 km away from Tiger Hill, about 8 km from Suzhou No.1 Silk Factory. It is not convenient to take a metro line to this station, but you can take a public bus or tourist bus there easily.

Suzhou South Bus Station (苏州南门汽车客运站)

Address: No.601, Nanhuan East Road, Gusu District, Suzhou City (苏州市姑苏区南环东路601号)

Suzhou South Bus Station is located in the southern part of Suzhou City, about 2 km away from Suzhou No.1 Silk Factory, about 8 km away from Humble Administrator's Garden, about 8 km away from Lingering Garden, about 15 km away from Tiger Hill. There are available public buses and tourist buses running to South Bus Station from different corners of Suzhou, but sometimes, you need to make transfer.

Please Note: After you arrive at Tongli Bus Station, you have to transfer to Tongli Water Town Scenic Area which is about 1.5 km (about 20 minutes' walk) away.

Generally, a classic Suzhou tour takes about 1~2 days. Visiting Suzhou, you can't miss elegant Suzhou gardens, like Humble Administrator's Garden, Lingering Garden, Master of the Nets Garden, etc. You can choose one or two of them for a great garden delight. Other must-be-visited sights in Suzhou City include Suzhou No.1 Silk Factory from which you can watch the process of silk making from silkworms to elegant products, Tiger Hill which is known as the first sight in Suzhou, Suzhou Museum which is designed by I.
