How to get a ticket: You can purchase a ticket at the ticket office of Shanghai Disney Resort or reserve a ticket online. Since there are many tourists during the peak season and the tickets might get sold out, you are recommended to book a ticket in advance. You can download Shanghai Disney Resort (上海迪士尼度假区) APP at your app store to book a ticket or visit the Shanghai Disneyland website for ticket reservation (https://www.shanghaidisneyresort.com/en/tickets/)

Shanghai Disney Resort ticket reservation requires all guests, including Shanghai Disneyland Annual Pass holders and infants under 3 years old or under 1.0 meter in height, to submit their visitation date and personal information to obtain a Shanghai Disneyland Reservation QR Code prior to their arrival at the park’s Main Entrance.

How much is a ticket: The tickets of Shanghai Disney Resort are priced differently on regular days, peak seasons, and peak holidays. Peak seasons include weekends, summer holidays (June ~ August), and winter holidays (January and February). Peak Holidays include Spring Festival (one week in February) and National Day (1st ~ 7th October).

Disney Pixar Toy story is located in the northwest of Shanghai Disneyland, with a total of three games, namely, Rex’s Racer, Slinky Dog Spin and Woody’s Roundup.

Treasure Cove 宝藏湾

Treasure Cove is the first pirate themed land among all the Disneyland Parks. It is a land of 18th-century Spanish harbor town located on a Caribbean island that has been captured by Captain Jack Sparrow from Pirates of the Caribbean.

Location & How to Get to Shanghai Disney Resort

Shanghai Disney Resort is located outside of Shanghai downtown in Chuansha Town (川沙新镇) of Pudong New District (浦东新区), about 27 kilometers from Huangpu River area. It is about 18 kilometers from Shanghai Pudong International Airport.

✔ 4 Days Shanghai Magic Tour with Disneyland Park

  • By metro: Metro Line 11 between North Jiading (嘉定北)/Huaqiao/Anting and Disney Resort stations provides a convenient and fast access to Disney Resort. The first train gets to Disney Resort at around 7:00 and the last train leaves at around 23:30. Travelers get off the subway at Terminal Station Disney Resort and just need to walk a few steps to Shanghai Disneyland, Disneytown and Wishing Star Park, and and only a short Disney Resort Shuttle ride from the Resort hotels.
  • By taxi: If you want to go by taxi, it costs about 100 to 150 Yuan for the transfer from downtown area; and around 70 Yuan from Pudong International Airport to Shanghai Disney.
  • By bus: Buses Pudong No. 50, 51 and 52 can take travelers to Shanghai Disney Resort. You should stop at South Bus Station of Shanghai Disney Resort.

Where to Stay in Shanghai Disney Resort

There are two hotels in Shanghai Disney Resort – one is Shanghai Disneyland Hotel and the other is Toy Story Hotel. Shanghai Disneyland Hotel is situated on the shores of a shimmering lake that features the finest in furnishings, first-class service, magical amenities, and Disney extras. While the Toy Story Hotel takes you to step into a world of imagination inspired by the Disney Pixar film series where playthings come alive and there’s adventure around every corner. Both two hotels offer dining.

Shanghai Disneyland, facing the Disneyland to the north of it, crossing the wishing star lake, has 420 rooms and 3 restaurants, 1 lounge, and 1 indoor pool. There are rooms with access to the magic kingdom club, garden, lake, and theme park views. Tourists can relax in different Disney themed rooms with all kinds of Disney characters and figures they like around them.

Located in the west of the resort, Toy Story Hotel offers 800 rooms for tourists with 2 restaurants. There are also rooms with gardens, courtyards, and theme park views. Since the rooms of the two hotels are very limited, you may need to book your room in advance especially during the peak season.

Dining & Food in Shanghai Disney Resort

In Disneytown, travelers can treat your taste bud to a tantalizing selection of fine Shanghai dining and international favorites. Some of the selections, like Blue Frog Bar & Grill for western casual dining, Shanghai Min for authentic Shanghainese cuisine, Xin Wang for a Cantonese tea house, Coconut Paradise for exotic Thai cuisine, DONDONYA for Japanese donburi rice bowl…Just try what you like.

Besides eating in Disneytown, tourists can bring their own food and drink into the park, but they can't carry the food that needs to be heated, reheated, processed, refrigerated or kept warm, or the food with pungent smell. Prohibited foods include: instant noodles, foods with self heating function, durian, etc. Tourists can bring bottled water and drinks into the park. More than 50 direct drinking water points and more than 20 hot water supplyment points in the park will continue to provide free hot and cold water. Alcoholic beverages, cans and glass containers will still be banned (except for the canned food for babies).

Visitors can enjoy their own food and drinks in the designated picnic area of the park, but they need to follow the garbage classification guidelines to maintain a clean and tidy environment. If tourists need to deposit personal belongings and items that are not allowed to enter the park, the resort provides the luggage storage service, and the deposit fee is about CNY 10 per day.

Prohibited Items: Flammable and explosive materials; weapons of any kind; simulated weapons or toy guns; foods that need to be heated, reheated, processed, refrigerated and kept warm and foods with pungent smell; alcoholic beverages; cans or glass containers; bags, containers or luggage larger than 56 cm x 36 cm x 23 cm; trolleys and transporters with wheels; quipments with pulley; large professional photography and video camera equipment and other related tools; large tripod, folding chair, stool; animals; items prohibited by law; other dangerous and destructive items.

Thanks for your attention and inquiry!
We contacted the official customer service of the Shanghai Disney Resort and were told that, except camera/video camera, any other photographic equipment is not allowed to take into Disney Land. Do remember your facilities mentioned (like Go Pros, selfie-sticks…) would probably be confiscated by the security check.

Thanks for your question. Shanghai Disney Resort Standard Ticket cost 399 CNY on regular days, 575 CNY on Peak Seasons (like weekends, summer holidays and winter holiday) and 665 CNY on peak holidays (like Spring Festival and National Day). The ticket is free for children under 1.0m. Other children (between 1.0m and 1.4m) and the seniors (65+ years old) will enjoy a discount price – on 299 CNY on regular days, 431 CNY on peak seasons and 499 CNY on peak holidays.
