Thanks for your question. Yes, you can pay the taxi fee by cash. The taxi drivers have no right to reject Chinese cash. It is not true that the most taxi in China only take Alipay or Wechat. The truth is that the driver may have no much cash of small amount as change if you pay CNY cash of 50 or 100. So you can prepare some change in advance.
