Macau Inner Harbor Terminal used to operate many ships to Zhuhai, but now all the ships there have been suspended since 2016. At present, you can take ferries to/from Macau Outer ferry terminal and Macau Taipa Ferry Terminal, all of which are frequently used and very convenient.

If you're going to visit Macau for your first time, you are suggested to choose the ferries arriving at Macau Outer Harbour Ferry Terminal, because it is close to the major attractions in Macau, like the Senado Square, Macau Tower, the ruins of St. Paul’s, etc. However, if you are more interested about the latest casinos and high-end hotels like The Venetian Macau, Hard Rock Cafe and Parisian Macau, then the ferries docking up at the Taipa Ferry Terminal are more advised.

Macau Outer Ferry Terminal

Macau Outer Ferry Terminal is in a short driving distance of about 2.5km to landmark in Macau - Ruins of the Church of St Paul. It provides ferry services between Macau and Sheung Wan, Tsim Sha Tsui, Hong Kong International Airport in Hong Kong, and Shekou and Fuyong (Shenzhen Airport) in Shenzhen. There is a three-story building in the ferry terminal, the arrivals will be on the first floor and departures are on the second floor. The third floor is the dining and shopping area as well as the passenger waiting area. And at its rooftop, there is also a helicopter parking, from where you can catch helicopters to Hong Kong and Shenzhen. You can find sweet luggage storage service in this ferry terminal, which charges for about MOP 20 per unit per hour. Outside the terminal, you can also find free shuttle buses provided by casinos and hotels in Macau.

Macau Taipa Ferry Terminal, also known as Bei 'an Ferry Terminal, is next to Macau International Airport and the Taipa Station of the under-construction Macau Light Rail Taipa Line. From this terminal, you can take ferries to/from Sheung Wan, Kowloon, Tuen Mun, Hong Kong Airport in Hong Kong, and Fuyong (Shenzhen Bao'an International Airport) and Shekou in Shenzhen. Helicopters between Hong Kong and Macau can also be found there. Outside Taipa Ferry Terminal, there are also free shuttle buses offered by Casinos and hotels.

Macau Ferry Tickets - Where to Buy Ferry Ticket to/from Macau

All the ferries between Hong Kong and Macau, and Shenzhen and Macau are served by TurboJet and Cotai Water Jet. Both of them have ticketing counters at every ferry terminal in Hong Kong, Macau and Shenzhen. You can book the tickets at the ticketing counter of the ferry terminal you are going to visit.

There is a discount for kids of TurboJet ferries tickets, while the prices for CotaiJet are the same for adult and child. Therefore, if you are travel with kids, you are suggested to choose Turbojet. Apart from that, you are suggested to book the ticket according to your travel time and route instead of the ship company.

Shenzhen Shekou Ferry Terminal in Shenzhen Nansha District is in a driving distance for about 25km away from Shenzhen Airport. It has most of the daily ferries to/from Macau.

Guangzhou to Macau Ferry

At present, there is no ferry service between Guangzhou and Macau. To travel between the two places, you are advised to travel via Zhuhai near Macau, where you can find many high speed trains to/from Guangzhou.

1. About your luggage, each passenger (excluding infants) is entitled to one piece of hand luggage free of charge. The size of the luggage, including the wheels, handles and side pockets, should not exceed 56x36x23 cm (22x14x9 inch).
