Day 1 Wuxi Arrival & Wuxi (L)

In the morning, your private tour guide and driver will pick you up at the railway station, and then set out on today’s sightseeing in a comfortable, air-conditioned and private vehicle.

Firstly, drive to the northern bank of Taihu Lake to see Lingshan Grand Buddha. It stands majestically at 88 meters tall and is called the tallest bronze Buddha in the world which is taller 17 meters than the stone-carved Leshan Giant Buddha. You’ll have a fully understanding about Buddhism and enjoy Nine Dragons Bathing Shakyamuni and Ode to Auspice in Brahma Palace, visit Five Mudra Mandala in Tibetan style, touch the largest Buddha hand which is said to bring you good fortune and longevity, enjoy the happy scene of 100 children playing with Maitreya Buddha and marvel at the grand Buddha and even touch its feet…

After the spiritual tour, it is time to relax your body and mind with breathtaking natural scenery. There is a saying “The superb view of the Taihu Lake lies in the Turtle Head Peninsula”. Visit Yuantouzhu (Turtle Head Island) to wander through the tranquil path to appreciate the blooming cherry, lotus and orchid, and take a 20-minute cruise across Taihu Lake to the Fairy Island. Get back to Yuantouzhu, if your energy permits, climb up to the top of Luding Hill to have panoramic view of the Turtle Head Island and Taihu Lake.

Please note:

1. Arrival Ideas: Wuxi has high speed trains well linking with Shanghai (less than 1 hour), Suzhou (10~15 minutes), Nanjing (1 hour) and more destinations. For your convenience, you can travel to Wuxi from Shanghai and Suzhou, etc.

2. Seize the right time to watch Nine Dragons Bathing Shakyamuni which usually 4 daily at 10:00; 11:30; 14:45; 16:45. And enjoy Ode to Auspice at 10:35; 11:30; 14:00 and 16:00 (Monday to Friday) or at 10:35; 11:30; 13:00; 14:00; 15:00 and 16:00 (Saturday and Sunday).

3. Yuantouzhu is the no.1 place in China to appreciate cherry. The International Cherry Blossom Festival is held during March to April when you can immerse yourself in the sea of flowers. Besides, lotus is blooming during June to September.

Day 2 Wuxi & Wuxi Departure (B)

After breakfast, your guide and driver will pick you up at the lobby of your hotel. Today, you are going to visit a famed Chinese classical garden in Wuxi - Jichang Garden which was built in Ming Dynasty by Qin Jin. Even Xiequ Garden inside the Summer Palace and Double-Crane House in Yuanmingyuan Imperial Garden both imitated Jichang Garden. Lost yourself in the exquisite garden with ingenious design, natural hills, elegant water, ancient trees, refined halls and tile carving, etc.

Later, pay a visit to Huishan Old Town, the only well-preserved old town which can be called the open air museum to explore Wuxi’s history and culture. There are 118 ancestral halls and important sites from Tang Dynasty to the Republican of China with 180 celebrities. Walk around Huishan Temple to visit its nearby ancestral halls, stroll along Heng and Zhi Street for in-depth searching.

After the tour, your guide and driver will escort to the airport / railway station for your flight or train to next destination.
