Every day, there are almost 50 high speed bullet trains (G trains and D trains included) departing from Ningbo Railway Station to Shanghai Hongqiao Railway Station. The first train starts from Ningbo at around 06:30 am and the last one leaves at around 09:30 pm. Because running on combined two rail sections, all the Ningbo to Hangzhou high speed bullet trains will stop at Hangzhou East Railway Station in Hangzhou.

There is also one direct flight flying from Ningbo Lishe International Airport (NGB) to Shanghai Putong International Airport (PVG) each day. The air travel is less than 1 hour short. But considering air travelers have to get to the airport at least 2 hours prior to departure, the total time and money cost thus is rather high.
