Currently, there are more than 50 daily high speed trains (G trains) and 1 D train running from Luoyang to Xian from 07:49am to 21:59pm. This east-west train journey takes just 1.5 ~ 2 hours for high speed trains while 4.5 ~5.5 hours for normal trains. After visiting Buddhist art in Longmen Grottoes, White Horse Temple - the first Buddhist Temple in China, Shaolin Temple and other cultural and historical sites in Luoyang, you can move on westward to another ancient capital - Xian to feel the authentic Chinese old city. Luoyang Longmen Railway Station (address: Tongqu Road, Luolong District, Luoyang 洛阳市洛龙区通衢路) is the only high speed train station serving Luoyang. It is third biggest station on Zhengzhou Xian High Speed Railway after Zhengzhou East and Xian North Station. The station is located in the northwest of Longmen Grottoes, about 20 minutes’ driving distance; and lies in southwest of White Horse Temple, about 40 minutes’ driving. Usually, it takes 2 ~ 3 days to have a Luoyang tour.
