Generally, the one-way nonstop flights from Singapore to Chongqing depart from Changi International Airport, the main aviation hub of Singapore, and land at Chongqing Jiangbei International Airport.
Located in Yubei District (渝北区) of Chongqing, the Chongqing Jiangbei International Airport is one of the largest aviation hub in the central and western regions of China and is renowned for its efficiency, amenities and service excellence. Currently, it has two terminals in operation. Terminal 2 (T2) mainly serves domestic flights while newly built Terminal 3 (T3) equipped with a self-help foreign currency exchange machine serves international flights and a few domestic flights. Terminal 1 has already been closed.
How to Transfer between T2 and T3
For visitors who choose a nonstop flight, normally you will arrive at T3 upon landing. For visitors on flights that need to transfer in some other cities in China and then fly to Chongqing, T2 will probably be your final destination. The transportation means that you can pick are different at the two terminals. But don't be worried, for there is some transportation information about how to get to the downtown city and how to travel between the two terminals.
● Shuttle Buses Connecting Terminals for Free:
Chongqing Jiangbei International Airport provides free shuttle buses between T2 and T3 with a travelled distance of 12 km every 30 minutes from 5:00 to 24:00. It only takes you around 25 to 30 minutes to travel from T3 to T2 and vice versa depending on what transportation you choose.
T3 to T2: T3→ Airport Security→ Xingfujiayuan Community Block B (幸福佳苑B区)→ Jiangbei International Airport Company→ T2
T2 to T3: T2→ T1 (closed)→ Jiangbei International Airport Company→ Xingfujiayuan Community Block B→ Airport Economic Building→ T3
Pick-up Place: Gate 4 or 9 in T2, Gate 9 on the L1 (the first floor) in T3
● Rail Transit Line 10 (run for every 2 minutes):
If you land at T3, walk about 250 meters and you will reach Jiangbei Airport Terminal 3 railway station, entering from Gate 4 to take Lanhualu-Wangjiazhuang Line 10 to T2.
If you exit from T2, you should board at Jiangbei Airport Terminal 2 railway station, entering from Gate four to take Wangjiazhuang-Lanhualu Line 10 to T3.
Chongqing Jiangbei Airport to Chongqing Downtown
The Chongqing Jiangbei International Airport is 21 kilometers north of downtown Chongqing city where lots of Chongqing iconic landmarks and fascinating attractions lie. A huge transportation transfer system connected the airport itself with the downtown Chongqing city with swift and convenient transportation means, including rail transit line, airport express, taxi and private cars, provides travelers with great convenience.
● Take Rail Transit Lines:
Rail Transit lines (including subway and monorail) are currently the main inner-city transport in Chongqing. With 11 lines altogether, the extensive rail transit line network has a length of more than 538 km across the whole downtown city. It's essentially convenient to travel and transfer with the rail transit lines. There are rail transit line stations, namely subway stations, of both CRT 10 and CRT 3 at T2 and only of CRT 10 at T3. Exit from terminals, and you'll find notices overhead that give instructions. Walk for about 4 minutes and you'll find the entrance.
The Chongqing Rail Transit Line 10(CRT 10, run for every 2 minutes) will travel past T3 and T2 to the downtown city from 6:30 to 23:30. It is connected to all other rail lines in operation so you can have access to wherever you want to go after setting out from Jiangbei airport. You can get on Wangjiazhuang - Lanhualu CRT 10, transfer at Zengjiayan Station on CRT 2 and get off at Linjiangmen Station to Jiefangbei Business Street and Hongya Cave , the top attractions of Chongqing, where lots of nice hotels are located. Or you can take CRT 10 and transfer to CRT 1 at Qixinggang Station to Chaotianmen Dock, the start of the Yangtze River Cruise.
The Chongqing Rail Transit Line 3 (CRT 3, run for every 3 minutes) only pass through T2 from 6:30 to 22:30 rather than T3. You can get on the CRT 3 at Jiangbei Airport Terminal 3 railway station and transfer at Niujiaotuo Station on CRT 2 to Liziba Station or to Jiefangbei Business Street or Hongya Cave.Moreover, you can get on CRT 3 and transfer at Lianglukou Station on CRT 1 to Ciqikou Ancient Town . Taking CRT 3, you will be able to experience a wonderful 90-degree turn on CRT 3, a breathtaking roller coaster–like travelling process that is rarely seen in other places, which represents the characteristic of Chongqing as a mountain city full of curving roads.

The airport expresses setting off from Chongqing Jiangbei International Airport to the downtown Chongqing city serve from 5:30 to 21:00 with an interval of 30 minutes.
If you arrive early in the morning or by 21:00 at night, the airport express is a good choice for you. You can take Airport Express K01 at T 3 passing T 2 to Jiefangbei Business District directly. Or get off from K01 at Jiefangbei, walk for 600 meters and then take Tour Bus T002 at Jiabinglu Hongya Cave Station to the start of the Yangtze River Cruise, Chaotianmen Port. In this case, you'll not bother to figure out when and where to transfer or how tough it will be to take your heavy luggage with you as you transfer among different rail transit lines.
