Shanghai Pudong International Airport serves as the key aviation hub for domestic transfer. It is located in Shanghai Pudong New Area, about 30 km (1 hour's drive) to Shanghai downtown. Qingdao Liuting International Airport is the busiest airport of Shandong Province. It is 27 km (about 1 hour's drive) away from Five Fourth Square (Qingdao downtown area). It is available to take a shuttle bus to/off Qingdao Liuting Airport. Since January 1, 2019, the 2019, the 144-Hour Visa-free Transit Policy began to take effect in Qingdao. Shanghai to Qingdao Train - Most Comfortable Transfer Way

It is also available to travel from Shanghai to Qingdao by train. There are about 5 daily high speed trains running from Shanghai Hongqiao Railway Station or Shanghai Railway Station to Qingdao Railway Station or Qingdao North Railway Station. Usually, the earliest train departs from Shanghai at 7:05 and the last train departs around 16:30. The whole train journey takes 6~7.5 hours. During the trip, you may get a great view out the windows of the high speed train.

▶ Shanghai Hongqiao Railway Station (上海虹桥站)

Location: No.1500, Shengui Road, Minhang District, West Shanghai (上海市闵行区申贵路1500号).

Next to Shanghai Hongqiao International Airport, Shanghai Hongqiao Railway Station is about 40 mins' drive to Shanghai Museum and 45 mins' drive to Yuyuan Garden. You can take metro Line 10 to Terminal 1 of Hongqiao Airport and then walk a few minutes to Terminal 2. If you go to Pudong Airport, taking a taxi for around 1 hour and 20 minutes is the most convenient way. ▶ Shanghai Railway Station (上海站)

Location: No.303, Moling Road, Jingan District, North Shanghai (上海市静安区秣陵路303号).

Shanghai Railway Station is one of the major train stations of Shanghai, both serving 170 high speed trains (G & D trains)and 53 normal (K, T, Z trains) every day. The station is located about 15 mins' drive to Shanghai Museum, 30 mins' drive to Shanghai Hongqiao Airport and 1 hour to Shanghai Pudong Airport. From here, you can take metro Line 1, Line 3 and Line 4 to transfer to downtown or other places in Shanghai, or get to the Pudong Airport by airport bus.

▶ Qingdao Railway Station (青岛站)

Location: No.2 Taian Road, Shinan District, Qingdao City (青岛市市南区泰安路2号).

Qingdao Railway Station enjoys a history of over 100 years. It operates both high speed trains and normal trains, and 3 high speed trains from Shanghai will arrive there. It is just located in the city area, only 700 meters (10 minutes' walk) from Zhanqiao Pier and 8 km (0.5 hour's drive) away from May Fourth Square. You can easily get there after your sightseeing in nearby attractions by metro Line 3 (passing through Zhongshan Park, May Fourth Square, Qingdao North Railway Station, etc.) or other public buses.

▶ Qingdao North Railway Station (青岛北站)

Location: No.1 Jingle Road, Licang District, Qingdao City(青岛市李沧区静乐路1号).

Qingdao North Railway Station is the largest railway hub in Shandong Province. It operates about 145 trains every day, including 125 high speed trains and 20 normal trains. It is 18 km (about 1 hour's drive) away from May Fourth Square and 7 km (30 minutes' drive) away from Qingdao Beer Museum. In Qingdao North Railway Station, you can take metro Line 3 (passing through Zhongshan Park, May Fourth Square, Qingdao Railway Station, etc.) and many public buses to different corners of Qingdao.
