If you are familiar with this period at all then this will be fascinating. If you're not, you'll still enjoy the beautiful bonsai gardens and marvel at the fact that the tomb of Liu Bei, the King of Shu Han, has remained untouched for more than a 1000 years.

Renmin Park

Renmin Park, or People's Park, is one of the city's prime people-watching spots. During days, as well as weekends, the park is always filled with locals, especially many older couples dancing in to various styles of music, playing mahjongg or cards in a teahouse, strolling leisurely with friends and practicing Taichi. You can wandering along the willow tree-lined road, joining the locals or take a cup of tea in a traditional teahouse. The most famous one is Heming Teahouse. It is the place to watch all the locals getting on with their lives.

Jinli Old Street

Jinli Old Street was once the first street of Shu Kingdom, and now is lined by various stores selling Shu Embroidery, lacquer products, folk handicrafts, Chinese calligraphies and paintings. For photographers, visit here in the evening will be the best time to get better photos with all the red lanterns lit up in the dusk.
