What to See Guilin
There is an old saying in China: “East or West, Guilin landscape is the best.” Only after you visit it, you will find it really worthy of the reputation. This saying fully shows the place of the picturesque landscape of Guilin in Chinese people’s heart.
Li River is the most famous river in Guilin, which flows 83km from Guilin to Yangshuo. Along with the river is the essence of Guilin scenery. Yulong River is about 16km long and it’s a tributary of Li River in Yangshuo County. It is popular for its idyllic and primitive sceneries along the river. Cruising or hiking along the rivers are both good choices to sightseeing.
Longji Rice Terraces are located in Longsheng County, about 77km from Guilin. Longji Rice Terrace scenic area combines natural landscape and ethnic cultural landscape. In this scenic area, you can enjoy the peaceful terrace scenery, experience the idyllic pastoral life of the locals, and release your stress and get really close to nature.
The Reed Flute Cave is a natural limestone cave which is over 180 million years old, while Silver Cave is a typical karst landscape. Walking into these caves, you will feel as if you are wandering into a wonderland.
