It is the largest film production studio on site, with a total area of 1000,000 square meters. Many famous TV series like Cruise of the Golden Flower (满城尽带黄金甲), The Legend of Zhen Huan (甄嬛传), Startling by Each Ste (步步惊心), etc., were filmed here. Qing Ming Shang He Tu covers an area of 400 square meters. The scenic area draws inspiration from the renowned painter Zhang Zeduan's masterpiece Along the River During the Qingming Festival, and vividly presents the grand scene of the Northern Song Dynasty by integrating the social background, folk customs, and architectural styles. It is the filming location of Chinese Paladin (仙剑奇侠传), The Story of Ming Lan (知否知否应是绿肥红瘦), etc. This site features various themed areas. Hengdian World Studios, located in Jinhua City of Zhejiang, is easily reachable by highway or railway. Most visitors opt for convenient connections through nearby cities like Hangzhou, Shanghai, Yiwu, and Xiamen.
How to Get to Hengdian
From Hangzhou
Hengdian is about 118km (2 hours by car) from Hangzhou. To get there, you can take a car for 2 hours or take a 1-hour high-speed train from Hangzhou West Railway Station to Hengdian Railway Station and then transfer by car for 20 minutes.
From Shanghai
Hengdian is about 250km (4 hours by car) from Shanghai. You can get there by car for 4 hours, or by high-speed train for 2-3 hours from Shanghai Hongqiao Railway Station / Shanghai Songjiang Railway Station to Hengdian Railway Station, followed by a car transfer for 20 minutes.
From Yiwu
Hengdian is about 30km (1 hour by car) from Yiwu, "The World's Capital of Small Commodities". You can take a car for 1 hour, or take a 15-minute train, followed by a car for 20 minutes, to reach it.
How to Get around Hengdian
Scenic areas at Hengdian are distributed in different directions around Hengdian Town. If you plan to visit multiple spots in one day, traveling by private vehicle is the most convenient option. For independent travelers, online ride-hailing services, taxis, and buses are suggested.

2. Best Time to Visit: All year round. The climate features high temperature (as high as 33°C) and plenty of rainfall in summer, mild (as low as 10°C) and less rainfall in winter, and it's humid throughout the year. However, there can be typhoons in summer. Therefore, for a pleasant trip to Hengdian, check the local weather in advance.
3. Hotels & Accommodation: There are hotels ranging from luxurious 5-star to budget-friendly 3-star stays, both at the Hengdian World Studios and outside in the town.
