Hangzhou Metro Line 1
Line 1 starts from Xianghu in the south, runs through Hangzhou East Railway Station (杭州东站), Coach Center, and West Lake, and finally reaches Hangzhou Xiaoshan International Airport (杭州萧山国际机场) in the east. Travelers can easily get to some of Hangzhou's top attractions by metro Line 1 after getting off a plane or a high-speed train.
• West Lake: Get off at Longxiang Bridge Stop (龙翔桥), and then get to the Music Fountain of West Lake within about 6 minutes' walk
• Beijing-Hangzhou Grand Canal: Get off at Wulin Square Stop (武林广场), and you can get to Hangzhou Exhibition Hall within 4 minutes' walk and Beijing-Hangzhou Grand Canal within 12 minutes.
• Hefang Street: Get off at Dingan Road Stop (定安路), and you can get to Hefang Street or Fenghuang Temple within 10 minutes.
• Hangzhou East Railway Station: Get off at East Railway Station Stop to catch your high-speed trains.
• Xiaoshan International Airport: Get off at Xiaoshan International Airport Stop to catch your flights.


Hangzhou Metro Line 2
Line 2 runs from Chaoyang in the south and stretches to Liangzhu Road in the north. This line connects a multitude of natural landscapes, historical and cultural sites, and modern attractions along its route. Below are the attractions along the line:
• West Lake: Get off at Fengqi Road Stop (凤起路), and then get to Six Parks and Qiantangmen Ruins of West Lake with about 10 minutes' walk
• Archaeological Ruins of Liangzhu City: Get off at Liangzhu Stop (良渚), which is 6km (15 minutes by car) from the ruins.
• Xishan Park: Line 2 has a stop in Xishan Park (西山公园), which is a forest park where you can have a breath of fresh air.
Hangzhou Metro Line 3
Line 3 starts from Xingqiao in the northeast and terminates at two western ends - Shima and Wushanqiancun. Below are the attractions along the line:
• Xixi National Wetland Park: Get off at South Xixi Wetland Stop, which is beside the South Gate of the park.
• Beijing-Hangzhou Grand Canal: Get off at Wulin Square Stop (武林广场), and you can get to Hangzhou Exhibition Hall with 4 minutes' walk and Beijing-Hangzhou Grand Canal within 12 minutes.

Hangzhou Metro Line 4
Line 4 starts at Chihua Street in the northwest and terminates at Puyan in the south. It runs through East Railway Station, Qianjiang New City and some of Hangzhou's museums like China National Silk Museum, Hangzhou Southern Song Dynasty Guan Kiln Museum, etc.
• Hangzhou East Railway Station: Get off at East Railway Station Stop to catch your high-speed train.
• China National Silk Museum: Get off at Fuxing Road Stop (复兴路), which is 2km (10 minutes by car) from the museum.
• Hangzhou Southern Song Dynasty Guan Kiln Museum: Get off at Shuicheng Bridge Stop (水澄桥), and you can get to the museum with 15 minutes' walk.
• Qianjiang New City: Get off at Chengxing Road Stop (城星路), and then walk about 850m for 11 minutes.

Hangzhou Metro Line 5
Hangzhou Metro Line 5 starts from Guniangqiao to East Nanhu. It runs through Hangzhou South Railway Station, Hangzhou People's Square, Hangzhou Railway Station, East Gongchen Bridge, etc.
• Hangzhou South Railway Station: Get off at South Railway Station Stop to catch your high-speed train.
• Hangzhou Railway Station: Get off at Hangzhou Railway Station Stop to catch your high-speed train.
• Beijing-Hangzhou Grand Canal: Get off at The Grand Canal Stop.

Hangzhou Metro Line 6
Hangzhou Metro Line 6 starts from Qianjiang Century City in the mid-north and ends at two southwestern stops - West Guihua Road and Shuangpu. It runs through Hangzhou Expo Center, Olympic Sports Center, East Safari Park, etc.
Hangzhou Metro Line 7
Hangzhou Metro Line 7 starts from Wushan Square to Jiangdong'er Road. It will take you to Hangzhou Xiaoshan International Airport, West Lake, etc.
• West Lake: Get off at Wushan Square Stop (吴山广场), and then get to Orioles Singing in the Willows of West Lake with about 10 minutes' walk
• Xiaoshan International Airport: Getting off at Xiaoshan International Airport to catch your flights.

Hangzhou Metro Line 8
Hangzhou Metro Line 8 is an important route connecting the central urban area and Qiantang District, mainly located in eastern Hangzhou. It starts from South Wenhai Road in the west to Xinwan Road in the east, serving as an "east-west corridor" running through eastern Hangzhou.
Hangzhou Metro Line 9
Hangzhou Metro Line 8 starts from Guanyintang in Hangzhou downtown and ends at Long'an. The line has stops at Linpingnan Railway Station and Hangzhou Coach Center.
Hangzhou Metro Line 10
Hangzhou Metro Line 10 starts from Huanglong Sports Center in Xihu District and ends at Yisheng Road in Yuhang District, running roughly in a north-south direction. It is very close to the West Lake and the Grand Canal.
• West Lake: Get off at Huanglong Sports Center Stop (黄龙体育中心), and then take a car ride for about 13 minutes to get to the Broken Bridge of West Lake.
• Beijing-Hangzhou Grand Canal: Get off at Huanglong Sports Center Stop, and then take a car ride for about 15 minutes to reach the scenic area.
Hangzhou Metro Line 16
Hangzhou Metro Line 16 connects Lvting Road and Jiuzhou Street. People who want to visit South Lake, Qingshan Lake and Hangzhou A&F University will use this metro line.
Hangzhou Metro Line 19
Hangzhou Metro Line 19 runs in a west-east direction, from Hangzhou West Railway Station and terminates at Yongsheng Road. It has stops at Xixi National Wetland Park, Hangzhou East Railway Station, Hangzhou Xiaoshan International Airport, etc.
• Hangzhou West Railway Station: Get off at West Railway Station stop to catch your high-speed trains.
• Hangzhou East Railway Station: Get off at North Xixi Wetland Stop, which is beside the North Gate of the park.
• Hangzhou Xiaoshan International Airport: Getting off at Xiaoshan International Airport to catch your flights.
• Xixi National Wetland Park: Get off at Huanglong Sports Center Stop, and then take a car ride for about 15 minutes to reach the scenic area.

Hangzhou Metro Ticket Fee
The ticket fee for Hangzhou metro varies depending on the distance. Usually, it takes about CNY 8 per person to get from Xiaoshan International Airport to the West Lake by metro.
CNY 2 for the first 4 km
- Additional CNY 1 for every additional 4 km if the distance ranges from 4 km to 12 km
- Additional CNY 1 for every additional 6 km if the distance ranges from 12 km to 24 km
- Additional CNY 1 for every additional 8 km if the distance exceeds 24 km
Hangzhou Metro Ticket Types

1. Single-way Ticket: It is valid on the day you buy it and must be recycled at the exit.
2. Paper Tour Ticket: It is valid for 6 months after you buy it. For the one-day and three-day tickets, upon the first card swipe to enter the gate, they can be used for unlimited rides on Hangzhou Metro during the operational hours within 24/72 hours.
3. Electronic Tour Ticket: The tour ticket is divided into one-day, three-day, five-day, and seven-day tickets. As you swipe the ticket to go through the first entrance, you could take metro lines unlimitedly within 24/72/120/168 hours. If the ticket is not activated within 7 days after purchase, it can be refunded online.
4. Souvenir Card: Souvenir Card includes the Chinese Zodiac Card issued in every new year or some other cards issued on big days. It is printed with special patterns and can be used within the period of validity. The fee is not fixed.
5. UnionPay IC Card: The available balance in the card must be greater than or equal to the maximum one-way fare of the Hangzhou metropolitan area rail network.
Hangzhou Metro Warm Tips
1. Prepare change cash for ticket automatic sellers, which accept only at least 70% of new paper money of CNY 1, CNY 5, CNY 10, CNY 20 and coin of CNY 1. If you have no change cash, you can buy ticket from the ticket window.
2. The first metro train often departs at about 6:00~6:30 and the last one departs at about 23:00.
3. The luggage one passenger carried should be no more than 30 kg and 0.05 m³. The sum of the length, width and height of the luggage should be no more than 1.8 m.
4. One adult can carry one kid (not taller than 1.3 m) freely and these kids are not permitted to take metro in Hangzhou alone.
