- Day 1 Tengchong Arrival - Heshun Ancient Town - Hot Spring Hotel Accommodation

Welcome to Tengchong! Upon your arrival, you'll be greeted by our local guide at the arrival hall of the airport who is holding a sign which says your name. Then the guide and driver will transfer you directly to your hotel in Heshun Ancient Town by our comfortable private car (non-smoking), and the guide will help you with the check-in procedure. After a short rest, you will follow your guide to explore this "China's Most Charming Town".
Heshun Ancient Town was once a significant town on the Ancient Silk Road, while nowadays it is more popularly known as a tranquil 600-year-old ancient town full of elegant architectures and alleys, charming caravan culture and history and peaceful and idyllic countryside landscape to explore. Here, you will stroll around the alleys and the streets paved with slab stones to admire this relatively large town with over one hundred of old buildings and designs, including the beautifully chiseled memorial archways, ancestral halls, temples and former residences of the area's celebrities. You will never miss the must-visits, like Heshun Museum - China's Largest Rural Library, Big Caravan Museums - a cluster of museums to tell you the glorious trading history and legends and the immortal spirit of caravans on the Silk Road, Shadow Play Museum - a tiny but interesting museum that will introduce you over 600 different types of shadow play items, etc. If you like, you can also enjoy a 25-minute boat tour (optional experience with extra fee) to indulge in the peaceful atmosphere of the northeastern part of this charming town.

Arrival ideas: Tengchong Tuofeng Airport has frequent flights from Kunming and 1~2 daily flights from Beijing, Guangzhou, Chengdu, etc. If you drive from Dali, the car ride takes about 4.5 hours.

- Day 2 Beihai Wetland - Geothermal Scenic Area - Hot Spring Hotel Accommodation (B, L)

Today, in the early morning after breakfast, you will stroll around the ancient town on your own pace and interests. This charming town has more lovely dwellings and lakes waiting for you steps. After the ancient town visit, you can enjoy a leisure trekking in the lush rice terraced fields in front of the town to admire the amazing rural scenery, get close to the farming life of the locals and meet with adorable animals! Lunch is served in the town.
In the afternoon, your guide and driver will escort you for about 20 kilometers and 0.5 hours to Beihai Wetland. The secluded Beihai Wetland is composed of a large plateau volcano dammed lake and a large scale of unique meadow pieces dotted on the lake. Those floating meadow pieces, or called grassland islets, are made up of multi-layers of the roots of grasses. When the wind blows, some of the small islets may move on the water, which is really impressive. The lake view, with lush hills standing by all directions at a distance, mysterious fog floating in the air and beautiful flowers and grasses swaying in the wind, is also breathtaking. Upon arrival, first enjoy a wooden boat tour to smoothly wind through the meadow pieces. Then, walk along the wooden trails built on the lake to immerse into the stunning scenery and listen to the echo of the Mother Nature.
After the lake tour, be driven to Geothermal Scenic Area (about 26 kilometers and 40 minutes away by car). Geothermal Scenic Area, or called Hot Sea, is located in the center of the entire geothermal area in Tengchong, and thus there gathers most of the hot springs of the city. Upon arrival, your guide will help you to check in at your high-end hot spring hotel. Then, you will enjoy a walking in the scenic area. There are altogether over 80 hot springs, and the temperature of about 10 of them reaching up to 90℃. While walking along the trail by the stream, you will find yourself wandering in the fairytale world with beautiful sunshine lighting on the white moving fog. And when you stand on the bridge over the water and listen to the lingering sound of the water flows, you will find a bit of peace in your Heart. What an impressive experience. Along the way, your guide will introduce you the name and the legend of each hot spring. After returning, ending your day with a dip in your very own hot spring before going to the bed. Today is for your free exploration of Tengchong before your guide and driver escorting you to the Tengchong Tuofeng Airport to catch your flight from leaving or to the next destination! Service ends!
Departure Ideas: Tengchong Tuofeng Airport has frequent flights to Kunming in the morning, afternoon and at night. And there are 1~2 daily flights to Chengdu, Guangzhou, etc. If you want to make a further tour to Dali from Tengchong. The car ride is about 4.5 hours.
