Day 1 Pick Up - Huangyaguan Great Wall - Tianjin (L)

According to your schedule, our local guide will pick up you at the Tianjin International Cruise Port, airport or railway station, then set out for today's tour activities - Huangyaguan Great Wall hiking and Dule Temple visit.

Huangyaguan Great Wall is located in the mountainous area of Jixian County, 126 km away from Tianjin City. It was originally built in the Northern Qi Dynasty (550-557), and expanded by General Qi Jiguang in the Ming Dynasty (1368-1644). It is praised as a miniature of the Great Wall of China as you can find features of many other sections of Great Wall - "strong" of Badaling, "steep" of Jiankou, "ancient" of Gubekou, and relatively less-crowded. You will hike about 2 hours (about 2150m) from the east section of Huangyaguan Great Wall to the Huangyaguan Pass, the castle in the valley in the west.

After the great wall trip, reach Dule Temple (Temple of Solitary Joy), which inherits the construction style of Tang and Song Dynasty. It is also one of the oldest and best-preserved wooden structures in China. Enjoy the quiet time to explore the historical architecture, Guanyin (Avalokitesvara) Pavilion etc. After the trip, drive back to Tianjin city.

Recommended Activities: take a cruise on Haihe River to appreciate the beautiful cityscape of Tianjin in a relaxing way at 19:30-20:30 (available during April-Nov.). (Optional)

Day 2 Tianjin Departure (B, L)

After breakfast, be picked up at your hotel, then set out for today's tour activities. 

You’ll first take a visit to the most eye-catching building in Tianjin - the Porcelain House (China House) which is the most eye-catching building in Tianjin. It is a private museum decorated with about 400 million pieces of ancient Chinese ceramic chips and over 13,000 ancient Chinese porcelain vases, plates and bowls. Inside the house, you can see many art works of paitings made by porcelain pieces and decorated on the walls and ceilings. Later, move on to the Five Great Avenues (Wudadao Area), including Chengdu Dao, Munan Dao, Machang Dao, Dali Dao and Chongqing Dao. Taking a carriage or walking along the streets, you can see over 2,000 beautiful examples of Italian, German, French, Spanish and British architecture with different style mixed in with old Chinese villas that showcase the modern history of China. The next place to visit for today is Jingyuan Garden. Located near the Five Great Avenues, Jingyuan Garden is a Spanish-styled villa as the former residence of the Last Emperor of ancient China - Puyi. Strolling around the villa, you will get a glimpse into the life of 'The Last Emperor'. You can do a little research about the Puyi beforehand. We would recommend the film 'The Last Emperor'.

The lunch will be a fantastic Dim Sum lunch at Riverside 66. After lunch, go to enjoy a leisue stroll on the Tianjin Ancient Culture Street, where you can enjoy the special architectural styles, take folk crafts, and taste the delicious local snacks. Don’t miss Yangliuqing painting gallery and painted clay sculpture of Clay Figure Zhang and Tianhou Palace in the middle of the Ancient Culture Street. Move on to last attraction of today - Tianjin Eye which is a 120-meter tall giant ferris wheel built over the Haihe River. Not being as famous as the London Eye, but it is the only ferris wheel in the world built on a bridge, providing an interesting 30-minute ride in an air-conditioned car encircling the wheel.

At the end of the day tour, transfer to the Airport / Train Station / Tianjin Cruise Port to catch your flight, train or cruise to your next destination.

1. This price is for one person, based on a group of 2 adults sharing one standard double-bed room in a 4-star hotel and traveling with our private tour in low seasons.
2. This price is subject to change according to your traveling season, group size, hotel class, change of activities in your itinerary and possible fluctuation of currency exchange rate. If you want a lower price, you can get more people to join you, or use economy class hotels.
3. This price is only valid to March 31, 2025.
4. Reference exchange rate of USD 1=RMB 7.00. The final quote is based on current exchange rate. It may change according to the currency fluctuation, while the RMB quotation will be remained the same.
