4 Days Chengdu & Xiling Snow Mountain Winter Tour

Full Itinerary Day by day

Day 1 Chengdu - Xiling Snow Mountain (L)

On this day, your guide and driver will pick you up at the airport/train station or your hotel in Chengdu. And then, drive about 2 hours to Xiling Snow Mountain that is reputed as the Oriental Alps with pleasant natural view. Besides, boasting Xiling Ski Resort (altitude: 2,200 meters) of 7 square kilometers wide to be the largest alpine ski resort in whole Southern and Western China region, Xiling Snow Mountain is also the venue to hold the annual “Southland International Ice & Snow Festival” in every winter.

After getting the foot of Xiling Snow Mountain, take the cable car (about 10 minutes) up and the bus (about 10 minutes) to Xiling Ski Resort to have best fun in the pure white snow wonderland. Take the spotlight to enjoy skiing hours on the 2,200 meter high level covered in pure white and feel the excitement of the fast and the furious on ice and snow! Besides, you can choose more activities to play to the most to warm your winter holiday, such as the wilder Snow ATV and snowmobile to show more manful power, sledging to enjoy snow in a classic and leisure way, etc.

Snow ATV/Snowmobiling: Ride the cool ATV/motorcycles to gallop on the soft white snow. Leave the clear trace rolled by the big tire behind to fully show the powerful charm of men.

Snow Tubing: The favored activities for family and groups to show your team spirit and laugh out loud together. Sit on the tube facing the blue sky and slide along the professional and safe snow trail to feel the thrilling sliding from the peak to the lower location freely.

After the exciting play, your guide will accompany you to the hotel on Xiling Snow Mountain and help you check in. Have a good rest!

(Note: all sports on ice and snow like skiing, Snow ATV, snowmobile, sledging, snow cubing, and so forth need extra but reasonable payment.)

Wearing Tips: thick clothes like down jackets, sweaters, thick trousers, scarves, hats, gloves, etc. are recommended to keep warm. Sunglasses, sunblock, moisturizer, etc. are suggested to protect your eyes and skin!

Day 2 Xiling Snow Mountain - Chengdu (B, L)

After breakfast, you can continue to enjoy the exciting skiing and other activities on ice and snow at Xiling Ski Resort to fully release your enthusiastic love to life and nature. Then take the sightseeing Cable Car (about 40 minutes) up to Riyueping (Sun and Moon Platform) (Altitude: 3,260 meters) for more natural appreciation. You will feel come from the earth to the paradise as you ascend there since charming sea of clouds shows there frequently. You can just stand quietly in front of the surrounding primitive forest or walk along the wood plank road to admire the soft clouds rolling near and far under the very clear blue sky like a mysterious piece of ocean that sometime submerges the summit of those lower mountains. Inhale the fresh and cool air here and think about where you are at this second! Besides, in some great sunny days, you will have a fabulous chance to see Mount Emei and Daxuetang Snow Peak far away.

After the visiting, take the cable car to come down. And then your guide and driver will escorted you back to your hotel in Chengdu. Have a good sleep!

Day 3 Chengdu (B, L)

This morning you will make a stirring visit to Chengdu Research Base of Giant Panda Breeding which is not only the most important panda scientific research center, but also dwelling home for more than 100 Giant Pandas. Walk at leisure through the bamboo framed paths, and closely observe giant pandas of different ages eating bamboos, playing with each other, tumbling, climbing trees, etc. Don’t miss the chance to watch female pandas nursing their cubs in the nursery rooms. There is also a very informative Panda Museum for you to learn more scientific facts about Giant Pandas.

Following the pandas, you will be taken to a hidden spiritual Buddhist temple in the hustling downtown of Chengdu - Wenshu Temple. Marvel at the exquisite Buddhist architecture, soak in the reverent atmosphere, and wander on the peaceful paths.

Chengdu is famous for its relaxing and leisure pace throughout China, which will be proved after a stay in People's Park. Sit down, order a pot of Chinese tea, make a casual chat with your friends and watching locals indulging themselves in different kinds of folk entertainment – napping in a lively teahouse, playing mahjong, disco dancing, neck massage, ear cleaning… Next is an impressive trip to the famous Jinli Old Street. Time steals away from you quietly while walking on the lively streets which are full of delicious local snacks, delicate artifacts, interesting folk shows, etc.

At the end, your guide and driver will escort you to your hotel.

Day 4 Chengdu Departure (B)

Your guide will pick you up from the hotel to the airport/train station in time for the scheduled flight or train to your next destination. Before that, you can take a rest at the hotel or go for a walk nearby.

The quotation for this trip is from $530 Per Person

1. This price is for one person, based on a group of 2 adults sharing one standard double-bed room in 4-star hotel and traveling with our private tour in low seasons.
2. This price is subject to change according your traveling season, group size, hotel class, change of activities in your itinerary and possible fluctuation of currency exchange rate. If you want a lower price, you can get more people to join you, or use economy class hotels.
3. This price is only valid to March 31, 2025.
4. Reference exchange rate of USD 1=RMB 7.00. The final quote is based on current exchange rate. It may change according to the currency fluctuation, while the RMB quotation will be remained the same.

There will be some meals excluded in your itinerary as you like, and your private guide will be delighted to give you some suggestions and take you to the local restaurants to taste like Beijing Roast Duck, Xian Dumpling Dinner, Sichuan Hotpot, etc., if you are interested in local food tasting.

1A: Wing Zeng always responds to our emails very promptly. At the beginning when I planned to book the cruise, Wing Zeng has been very patient to respond to all my questions about the cruise itinerary and the cabin types. I am very happy with her service.

2A: With Wing Zeng's help, our tour arrangements were very smooth. Our family travel with one senior and one small child, so we were very careful about transportation to and from the port. On the day of embarkation, Wing Zeng helped us book a van transfer directly from our hotel in Jingzhou to the port, which made the embarkation process very smooth and enjoyable.

3A: Definitely. I highly recommend your service to anyone who wants to take the Yangtze cruises.

4A: I'm very satisfied with your service. Our travel consultant is very helpful and professional.

5A: It would be nice if you could give a little warning that the water level in Chongqing might be too low around this time of year. Originally, our cruise was scheduled to end at Chongqing Chaotianmen port. But because of the low water level, we had to disembark somewhere else and took a 2-hour drive to Chaotianmen. The cruise arranges the transfer smoothly and it worked out fine in the end. But if this is something that happens usually around this time of year, it would be nice to be given a little warning beforehand.
