3 Days Detian Waterfall & Bama Longevity Tour from Nanning

Day 1 Nanning Arrival - Mingshi Scenic Area - Detian Waterfall (L)

Welcome to Nanning! Upon arrival, you will be picked up by your guide and driver at the airport, train station, or your hotel in Nanning and then transfer to Detian Waterfall to admire this mesmerizing natural wonder! Detian Waterfall is the largest transnational waterfall in Asia and the fourth largest one in the world!

On the way to Detian Waterfall, you will first visit the "Little Guilin" - Mingshi Scenic Area, where you will meet with ideal countryside surrounded by splendid Karst peaks and rivers. Enjoy a 30-minute bamboo rafting and have a short leisure walking there.

After that, continue your private car trip to Detian Waterfall. As you approaching, you will hear the resonant roars kilometers away. Only several minutes later, the awe-inspiring picture of the Detian Waterfall and the Ban Gioc Fall at Vietnam side, with the surrounding towering Karst peaks as the backdrop, opens in front of you. Follow your guide to admire the grand waterfalls from the riverside viewing platforms, including the closest one just at the right end of the waterfall! Thereafter, take a bamboo raft to get close to the lower reaches of the fall and to feel the rush of spray on your face.

After the intimate moments with the waterfall, your guide and driver will escort you to your hotel in Shuolong Town for accommodation. Today’s tour ends. Have a good sleep!

Optional Evening Detian Waterfall Tour: Detian Waterfall also opens at night. And there will be grand Light Show and great Folk Performances offered during then. If you want to appreciate the waterfall lit up in colorful lights and to admire the interesting shows about the love stories of Frog God and his girl, please tell your guide in advance. You guide can book a night ticket for you in advance.

Day 2 Tongling Grand Canyon - Tianzhou Old Town - Bama (B, L)

Good morning! Enjoy your breakfast, and then your guide and driver will escort you to Tongling Grand Canyon, the Beautiful Scar of the Earth. Tongling Grand Canyon is about 47 kilometers and 1 hour by car from your hotel.

Upon arrival, you will first follow the steps down to the base of the canyon. On this way down, you will be welcomed with extremely refreshing air. You will first pass through Tongling Treasure Cave lit up with multicolored lights. By your two sides are magnificent cliffs with hanging stalactites of strange shapes. The end of the downhill stairs is a tranquil underground river winding through the Tongling Canyon. Enjoy a spiritual walking along the river to venture deeper. Thick virgin forest, magical natural underground tunnel, and dramatic waterfalls are waiting for you on your way ahead. You also won't miss the ruins of hanging coffins of Zhuang People. At the deepest point of the canyon is an ultrahigh Tongling Waterfall with an amazing drop of 188m! Let's stand in front of the waterfall to enjoy the shocking power of nature, and then visit the Water Curtain Cave behind the waterfall. Inside the cave there are extraordinary stalactites, stalagmites, stone columns and also a Nine Layers Waterfall. After the cave exploration, follow your guide to get out the canyon. Near the exit of the canyon there are traditional folk buildings with Zhuang characteristics. If lucky, you will enjoy interesting folk performances there.

After the canyon tour, you will be escorted to Bama (3.5 hours around). On the way, you will take a short tour to Tianzhou Old Town, a popular stopover between Detian/Tongling and Bama. Tianzhou Old Town is featured with characteristics of Zhuang Minorities. It has the grand momentum of a thousand-year old city and the poetic elegance of a small water town. Enjoy your time to stroll around the old pavilions, houses and treat yourself some local snacks at the town. Later, continue the driving to Bama. Your guide and driver will escort you to the hotel in Bama County for accommodation. Today’s tour ends.

Day 3 Bama Tour - Nanning Departure (B, L)

After breakfast, your guide and driver will pick you up at your hotel. Today is for a journey to discover the mystery of Longevity.

You will first head to Baimo Cave (A Hundred Devils Cave), which is 32 kilometers (about 1 hour's drive) from your hotel. Baimo Cave is a magnificent Karst Cave with high concentrations of negative oxygen ions. The cave is also celebrated as "The Most Spectacular Cave in the World" by the British Cave Research Association. Follow your guide to explore mysterious stalactites in the shape of amazing bamboo shoots, monkey, Buddha and more - all are sparking in the colorful lights in blue, red, green, etc. After that, reward yourself a "natural cure" at the magnetic therapy area, which has the highest concentrations of negative oxygen ions and geomagnetic intensity. It is said that all the ills and sorrows will be cured there!

After the cave tour, drive 10 minutes or so to visit the famous Bama Longevity Village. The village has the largest number of the elder more than 100 years old - around 31 out of every 100,000 people are centenarians, and thus it tops the list of World’s Five Longevity Villages. Here, you will search for the secrets and advices of longevity from the local centenarians!

Lastly, drive for about 4 hours to go back to Nanning for leaving. Your guide and driver will escort you to the airport or train station as you like. Tour ends!

1. This price is for one person, based on a group of 2 adults sharing one standard double-bed room in a 4-star hotel and traveling with our private tour in low seasons.
2. This price is subject to change according to your traveling season, group size, hotel class, change of activities in your itinerary and possible fluctuation of currency exchange rate. If you want a lower price, you can get more people to join you, or use economy class hotels.
