Jingdezhen has a subtropical monsoon climate with ample sunshine and moderate rainfall throughout the year. There are four clear seasons: unpredictable spring, hot summer, cool autumn, and short but cold winter. The average temperature of the year is 18 ˚C. The hottest month is July with the highest temperature around 34 ˚C while the coldest month is January with the lowest temperature around 2 ˚C.
The best time to visit Jingdezhen is from August to October as it is cool and clear in autumn, and spring (Feb. to Apr.) is also the recommended time. Please notice that the Jingdezhen International Ceramic Expo takes place in October. It is worth visiting the Porcelain Capital during this time for the nice weather and the grand event.

How to Get to Jingdezhen
By Flight: There are direct flights from/to Beijing (2.5 hours), Shanghai (1.5 hours), Xi’an (2.5 hours), Chengdu (2.5 hours), Xiamen (1.5 hours), Guangzhou (2 hours), Shenzhen (2 hours), etc.
By Train: Visitors can take trains from many cities to Jingdezhen, such as Beijing (7.5 hours), Shanghai (4-8 hours), Nanchang (1-5 hours), Xiamen (4-6 hours), Guangzhou (4.5-5.5 hours), Shenzhen (5.5-6.5 hours), etc.
Also, Jingdezhen is connected with many nearby attractions by train, such as Huangshan (1 hour), Mount Lu (1-2 hours), Wuyuan (0.5 hours), and Wangxian Valley (1 hour).
How to Get around Jingdezhen
Buses, taxis, and bikes are all available in Jingdezhen. There are over 40 bus routes in downtown Jingdezhen connecting the main attractions. Taxies are inexpensive as the flag-down fare is 7 Yuan.
