Construction of the bridge was clearly a big deal. Many people said that there was no way that the bridge could be created. Not only would it have to be longer than any other sea crossing bridge in the history but it was going to build in an area with strong typhoons and earthquakes sometimes. Eventually, after 9 years of hard work, this world-class bridge was completed, with many amazing world's first innovative technologies used.
The Hong Kong - Zhuhai - Macau Bridge is 20 times length of Golden Gate Bridge in San Francisco. About 420,000 tons of steel plate, 330,000 tons of steel bars and 1000,000 tons of concrete were used in the construction, which can be used to build 60 Eiffel Towers and 8 Burj Dubai.
