Day 1 Chengdu Arrival

Ni Hao! Welcome to Chengdu, the hometown of Giant Panda. Your local guide will meet you at the airport or the Railway station for your morning flight / train, and escort you to your hotel in a private vehicle.

Optional Activity for Evening Life: In the evening, you are going to Shufeng Yayun Sichuan Opera House to enjoy authentic Sichuan Opera performances, such as short comedy show, puppet, show, hand shadow, music instruments mimic horse and people conversation, and the face (mask) changing show with fire spitting.

Day 2 Chengdu ( B, L )

This morning you will make a stirring visit to Chengdu Research Base of Giant Panda Breeding which is not only the most important panda scientific research center, but also dwelling home for more than 100 Giant Pandas. Walk at leisure through the bamboo framed paths, and closely observe giant pandas of different ages eating bamboos, playing with each other, tumbling, climbing trees, etc. Don’t miss the chance to watch female pandas nursing their cubs in the nursery rooms. There is also a very informative Panda Museum for you to learn more scientific facts about Giant Pandas.

After happy hours with pandas, take about 1-hour drive to Sanxingdui Museum, the relics of a ruined city with a history of over 3000 years. Numerous exquisite objects of bronze ware, jade ware, stone ware, gold ware and other articles are unearthed from this site, which evident the highly developed civilization of the ancient Shu kingdom, and verify that Chinese culture as an entity came from diverse sources.

After the ancient Shu kingdom exploration, drive back to Chengdu.

Day 3 Chengdu ( B, L )

Today’s tour starts from Sichuan Museum, where you can have a good overview of the region's history and traditional culture by way of various themed rooms and thousands relics, like amazing pottery, shadow puppets and carved horns. Later, move on to take a relaxing visit to Wangjianglou Park, a well-known cultural site to memorize Xue Tao, a celebrated poetess in Tang Dynasty. Immerse yourselves in the emerald bamboo sea with poetic fragrance, watch the local play mahjong or cards to feel the slow-paced life of Chengdu, climb up Wangjiang Tower to have a panoramic view of the beautiful park and Jinjiang River…

Then you will move on to Wuhou Temple, a shrine integrated with tombs of Liubei and Zhuge Liang. Surrounded by old cypresses and classical red walls, the temple creates an atmosphere of nostalgia. When stepping into the temple, you get the chance to immerse yourself into a sea of ancient profound culture and history.

At the late afternoon, you will move on to Jinli Old Street with Three Kingdom culture. Time steals away from you quietly while walking on the lively streets which are full of delicious local snacks, delicate artifacts, interesting folk shows, etc. For photographers, visit here in the evening will be the best time to get better photos with all the red lanterns lit up in the dusk.

Day 4 Chengdu Departure ( B, L )

This morning, you will be taken to a hidden spiritual Buddhist temple in hustling downtown Chengdu, Wenshu Temple, where you will marvel at the exquisite Buddhist architecture, soak in the reverent atmosphere, and wander on the temple’s peaceful paths.

Later, you will pay a visit to Dufu Thatched Cottage which is a museum and park in honor of Dufu (712-770AD), who was the greatest realist poet and has been famed as the Sage of Poetry. Walk in this tranquil park to explore Hall of Historic Poetry, Gongbu Temple, Shaoling Thatched Cottage Tablet Pavilion, Ruins of Tang Dynasty and know story of Dufu and history of Tang Dynasty.

After the tour, you'll be driven to Chengdu airport / train stations for your flight or train to next destination. Service ends!

1. This price is for one person, based on a group of 2 adults sharing one standard double-bed room in 4-star hotel and traveling with our private tour in low seasons.
2. This price is subject to change according your traveling season, group size, hotel class, change of activities in your itinerary and possible fluctuation of currency exchange rate. If you want a lower price, you can get more people to join you, or use economy class hotels.
3. This price is only valid to March 31, 2025.
4. Reference exchange rate of USD 1=RMB 7.00. The final quote is based on current exchange rate. It may change according to the currency fluctuation, while the RMB quotation will be remained the same.

1A: Wing Zeng always responds to our emails very promptly. At the beginning when I planned to book the cruise, Wing Zeng has been very patient to respond to all my questions about the cruise itinerary and the cabin types. I am very happy with her service.

2A: With Wing Zeng's help, our tour arrangements were very smooth. Our family travel with one senior and one small child, so we were very careful about transportation to and from the port. On the day of embarkation, Wing Zeng helped us book a van transfer directly from our hotel in Jingzhou to the port, which made the embarkation process very smooth and enjoyable.

3A: Definitely. I highly recommend your service to anyone who wants to take the Yangtze cruises.

4A: I'm very satisfied with your service. Our travel consultant is very helpful and professional.

5A: It would be nice if you could give a little warning that the water level in Chongqing might be too low around this time of year. Originally, our cruise was scheduled to end at Chongqing Chaotianmen port. But because of the low water level, we had to disembark somewhere else and took a 2-hour drive to Chaotianmen. The cruise arranges the transfer smoothly and it worked out fine in the end. But if this is something that happens usually around this time of year, it would be nice to be given a little warning beforehand.
