The Kingdom of Panda has survived from the historical and geographical changes, but the Kingdom of Sanxingdui did not make itself survived. This mysterious Bronze-age civilization, which can be dated back to 5000 years ago, disappeared without clue. Until in 1986 when workers accidentally found the two grand pits kept numerous artifacts that were so unusual and unlike anything ever found in China before. The history of Chinese civilization was rewritten then. This tour takes you to not only visit the current kingdom of Giant Pandas, but also go to discover the mystery of Sanxingdui Civilization, which is an incredible experience that is unique and interesting. Extra value is added because you are also gifted to see several other popular attractions in Chengdu, such as Jinli Old Street, Wenshu Temple, etc.
Day 1 Chengdu Panda Tour ( L )Today's highlights: Giant Panda Base, Wenshu Temple, People's Park, Jinli Old Street
This morning you will make a stirring visit to Chengdu Research Base of Giant Panda Breeding which is not only the most important panda scientific research center, but also dwelling home for more than 100 Giant Pandas. Walk at leisure through the bamboo framed paths, and closely observe giant pandas of different ages eating bamboos, playing with each other, tumbling, climbing trees, etc. Be sure to not miss the chance to visit the most adorable panda babies in the nursery rooms and panda kindergartens. There is also a very informative Panda Museum for you to learn more scientific facts about Giant Pandas.
Following the pandas, you will be taken to a hidden spiritual Buddhist temple in the hustling downtown of Chengdu – Wenshu Temple. Marvel at the exquisite Buddhist architecture, soak in the reverent atmosphere, and wander on the peaceful paths. Adjacent to the monastery is a small bazaar (Wenshufang) where you can enjoy a leisure stroll through to experience local market and living style.
Chengdu is famous for its relaxing and leisure pace throughout China, which will be proved after a stay in Renmin Park. Sit down, order a pot of Chinese tea, make a casual chat with your friends and watching locals indulging themselves in different kinds of folk entertainment – napping in a lively teahouse, playing mahjong, disco dancing, neck massage, ear cleaning… Next is an impressive trip to the famous Jinli Old Street. Time steals away from you quietly while walking on the lively streets which are full of delicious local snacks, delicate artifacts, interesting folk shows, etc.
At the end, your guide will escort you to your hotel.
Recommended Optional Evening Activities: 1) enjoy a delicious dinner of Sichuan cuisine (or hotpot) at a local restaurant; 2) watch a wonderful performance of Sichuan Opera which includes folk opera, face changing, fire spitting, rolling lights, and other delightful entertainment (usually performs during 20:00~21:30).

Day 2 Sanxingdui Museum Tour ( L )Today's highlight: Sanxingdui Museum
After breakfast, drive about 1-hour drive to visit Sanxingdui Museum. Situated in Guanghan city about 50 km north from Chengdu, Sanxingdui Museum (Three-star Piles Museum) is world-renown for more than 4,000 relics unearthed in 1929 from Sanxingdui Site that was the ancient capital 3000-5000 years ago. Honored as the “Origin of Yangtze Civilization”, Sanxingdui Museum is listed as one of the “Top 50 Appealing Attractions in China for Foreign People”. Numerous exquisite objects of bronze ware, jade ware, stone ware, gold ware and other articles are unearthed from this site, which evident the highly developed civilization of the ancient Shu kingdom, and verify that Chinese culture as an entity came from diverse sources.
The unearthed bronze statues and gold stick are very similar to those of Mayan Civilization and ancient Egyptian Civilization. Is there any connection between these mysterious cultures? And how did Sanxingdui Civilization disappear suddenly like them? Try to get answers here.
After the museum visit, drive back to your hotel in Chengdu or go to catch your flight/train to leave Chengdu.

You send so many masks, Thank You ! And once again I am very grateful for the sacrifice You are making, because I am aware the masks are expensive and it’s difficult to find tem in these so hard times.
As I already told You in the past, I am very sorry that my so poor English does not permit me to better explain how much I am touched, and moved, for Your
Kindness, and generosity: I wish You were here to hug You and Your Family and….but I have not so big enough arms to do…all the Chinese People.
I really do hope that in the future You should visit Italy (or we can come to Chengdou) so I will thank You more properly.

We have been wondering how the wonderful people we met are getting through this crisis. We are glad to hear that you are well. We hope that you and your family and friends can stay healthy.
We are well and are living near our son and his family who can help us. My sister in California said that no one is allowed out of the house except for food shopping or something necessary in order to live. Last week 3.3 million people applied for unemployment benefits in our country. So many businesses are closed.
We hope to travel again and will contact you when it is again possible to see other countries.
Deborah and Steve
