How to Take Buses from Beijing to Tianjin City and Tianjin Port (Cruise Port)

Tianjin city is about 125km to the southeast of Beijing. Tianjin Port (Cruise Port) here refers to Tianjin International Cruise Home Port (天津国际邮轮母港) at No. 1001 Guanhai Road, Binhai New District, Tianjin (天津市滨海新区观海道1001号). It is about 70km from Tianjin downtown. You can take buses to Tianjin and Tianjin Port both from Beijing downtown and Beijing Capital International Airport. Beijing Buses to Tianjin City

There are more than 20 passenger stations in Beijing. We have chosen five of them that can conveniently take you to Tianjin city from Beijing downtown and Beijing Capital International Airport. Most of them arrive at Tianjin Tongsha Passenger Station (天津通莎客运站) and Tianjin West Passenger Station (天津西站客运站) where you can easily transfer to other places in Tianjin. At present (July 2019) in most cases, the long-distance bus tickets need to be purchased at the station, so you are advised to get to the bus station at least 2 hours ahead of time.

Bawangfen Long-distance Bus Station (八王坟长途客运站)
Location: #17 West Dawang Road, Chaoyang District, Beijing (北京市朝阳区西大望路17号), about 7.5km, 30 minutes’ drive to the east of Beijing center (Tiananmen Square).

Where to Take off Bus in Tianjin

Tianjin Tongsha Passenger Station (天津通莎客运站)
Location: Xinzhao Road, Hedong District, at the back square of Tianjin Railway Station in downtown area

Tianjin West Passenger Station (天津西站客运站)
Location: Junction of Xiqing Road and Fuxing North Road, Hongqiao District, just about 500m to the west of Tianjin West Railway Station, 30 minutes’ drive to downtown

Beijing Buses to Tianjin Port (Cruise Port)

The nearest and most easily accessible passenger station to Tianjin Cruise Port is Tanggu Passenger Station. You can get to Tanggu from Zhaogongkou Long-distance Bus Station or Beijing Capital International Airport Passenger Station and then transfer to Tianjin Cruise Port (about 32 km, 1 hour and CNY 100 by taxi, 2 hours by bus).

Location: #34 South 3rd Ring Middle Road, Fengtai District, Beijing (北京市丰台区南三环中路34号), about 9km, 35 minutes’ drive to the south of Beijing center (Tiananmen Square).

Beijing South Railway Station offers over 170 high speed trains to Tianjin every day from 6:00am to 22:30pm and it only needs around 30 minutes. Beijing South Railway Station is located at #12, Yongwai Avenue, Fengtai District, South Beijing (北京市丰台区永外大街12号), about 10km, 40 minutes’ drive from Beijing center (Tiananmen Square).
