“Yangtze Gold 7 cruise”
Our room was large by cruise standards with an adequate bathroom and small balcony. The food was OK in the main with a good selection although leaning towards the Chinese passengers. A bit of a stampede when meal times come - better to wait 15 minute to let the early birds get their meals. The bar area was good and the staff spoke reasonable English. The prices were high but acceptable. The included trips were good but if you did not want to go on an organized trip (included or optional) then apparently you were not allowed off the boat due to some talk about docking fees.
“Yangtze Gold 7”
The staff were friendly and helpful, cabins spacious and well equipped so no problem there. , the excursions were very good, ghost city at Fengdu (beware of the 300 or more steps to climb to this), and the trip in the peapod boat - both well worth the effort. The yangtze scenery was lovely, but unfortunately it was very misty so couldn't be appreciated fully. Cruising through the three gorges and watching the boats ahead going through the dam whilst so close together is quite amazing. One last thing, other boats tend to moor alongside very close to each other, so make sure all balcony windows etc are locked and curtains closed.
“Amazing views and wonderful experience”
The room was excellent with all amenities in the bathroom. There is no wifi in the rooms except in the reception. The cruise ship is a but garish but comfortable. The cruise itself was fantastic with amazing views from the deck and good shore excursions. I enjoyed both the Ghost city tour and the Lesser gorges tour though the extra we paid for the mini gorges tour was not worth it. The last day they take you to see the dam whichever as fantastic and then drop off to Yichang centre where our guide was promptly there to pick us up to drop us to the airport.
