I booked a 4 day private tour from Shanghai to Beijing through China Discovery Tours. My friends used this company earlier this year and highly recommend that we do the same. I’m so glad we took their advise. China travel consultant Wendy was responsive and helpful through out the process. She made the necessary adjustments to our trip based on my requirements until I was ready to make the final booking. Once booked she informed me in advance of all documentations needed for the trip to make sure everything went smoothly. The trip was excellent from beginning to end. China Discovery booked the entire tour from transportation (Shanghai to Beijing) on the high speed train to hotel accommodations in Beijing based on our requirement. I would recommended business or 1st class on the train and 5 stat hotel if you can spare the extra cash. Once arriving in Beijing, someone was there to meet us at the stations to provide us with transportation to our hotel (which was very nice). Our tour guide Lindsay and driver John were excellent. Lindsay confirmed everything that we would be doing on our tour which was sent to us in advance of us getting to China. Lindsay of tour guide was so knowledgeable and willing to answer all of our questions as we toured the Tiananmen Square, the Forbidden City, Summer Palace, Tea House, Sacred Way, Beijing Olympic Village and the Great Wall and finally the Temple of Heaven. John our driver was great, my family and I felt very safe. In conclusion I would recommend China Discovery for your visit to China and if you’re lucky to have Lindsay (tour guide) and John (the driver) then you will definitely be in good hands.. Job well done!
