This morning, you will first visit Volcanic Crater Park (Huoshankou Geopark) which is natural volcano geology museum about 15 kilometers from Haikou downtown. After the last eruption happened 13,000 years ago, 36 intact volcano craters were left and preserved till now. Fengluling Volcanic Crater is a big highlight. You will walk along the stone footsteps and view many geological remains, dense tropical forest vegetation, beautiful wild flowers, etc. As you climb to the summit (222.8 meters) which is also the highest point of Haikou, you will get a wonderful panoramic view of Haikou City and Qiongzhou Strait on sunny days. It is also available to enter into the crater to explore volcanic shapes at a close distance (not recommended to the seniors because of the steep steps).
In the afternoon, you will drive to Holiday Beach where bright sunshine, gold-sand beach, green coconut palms, gentle weaves and outstanding tropical scenery set each other off. The beach is clean, quiet and safe for all visitors, and many locals also come here for nature. You can comfortably lie on the soft sands in the warm sunshine to fully indulge in the relaxing atmosphere. There are many walking paths which lead you to the coastal views as well as tropical plants. Besides, you can also enjoy other entertaining activities like swimming, barbecue, hot spring and moto-boat (optional). Then you will drive to Qilou Old Street - a historic street with over 600 arcade buildings featuring exotic landscapes. With a fusion of European and Asian styles, these buildings were mostly built by overseas Chinese merchants at the beginning of the 20th century. An arcade building usually has a ground floor served as a storefront to take shelter from rain and sunlight, and one or more upper floors used as living quarters. Today, Qikou Old Street is also a food street offering squid, pancakes, fried food, barbeque items, soups, scallops, bread, etc.
After sightseeing, drive back to your hotel for accommodation.
