Kunming to Dali High Speed Train Route

Kunming to Dali High Speed Train Route is the first high speed railway between the two popular tourist cities. Built from Kunming South Station to Dali Station, the entire railway section is about 328km in length, passing 5 stations, namely Lufeng South Station (禄丰南站), Guangtong North Station (广通北站), Chuxiong Station (楚雄站), Nanhua Station (南华站), Xiangyun Station (祥云站) in the middle way. Kunming South Railway Station (昆明南站)

Location: Xiangyuan Street, Chenggong District, Kunming City (昆明市呈贡区祥园街)

As it is in the prosperous area with convenient transportation, you can transfer to many great hotels and the top popular attractions without efforts, the local Metro Line 1 can take you there with speed and convenience. To the city center and Cuihu Lake area, it usually takes about 1.5 hours by Metro Line 1 and Line 2. And to the Western Hill, it will take about 1.5-2 hours in total.

Kunming Railway Station (昆明站)

Location: No.1 Beijing Road, Guandu District, Kunming City (昆明市官渡区北京路1号)

From there, it takes about 40 minutes by local bus or metro transfer, about 0.5 hours to the city center by local Metro Line 1 and Line 2, about 30 minutes to Kunming Cuihu Lake, about 1.5-2 hours to the Stone Forest scenic spot, etc. If you want to visit the Dongchuan Red Land scenic area, it will take longer time for about 3.5-4 hour by car.

Dali Railway Station (大理站)

Location: No.261, Weishan Road, Dali City (大理市新城区巍山路261号)

Constructed in the downtown place. To reach major attractions in Dali, local tourist busses are good to choose. However, if you go by local taxi, it will needs about 15-20 minutes to the city center, about 40-50 minutes to Dali Ancient City and Three Pagoda Park, about 45-50 minutes to Longkan Pier or Caicun Pier of Erhai Lake, etc.

1) Prepare your documents well (valid passport with China Visa); 2) Get to the right train station in advance; 3) Collect train tickets; 4) Read your train ticket; 5) Pass the security control; 6) Pass through Security & Luggage Checks; 7) Find the right waiting room; 8) Cross the ticket checking gate; 9) Get to the right platform; 10) Get on your train. Baggage Allowance
