Guilin Guangzhou High Speed Train Route

Guilin Guangzhou high speed train route starts from Guilin West Railway Station to Guangzhou South Railway Station. The whole railway has a total length of about 446 kilometers (about 277 miles). To benefit the convenient transfer of people in Guangdong and Guangxi provinces, this train route also make stop in the middle cities, counties, towns, including Yangshuo, Gongcheng, Zhongshan, Heshou, Huaiji, Guangning, Zhaoqing, Sanshui, and Foshan. Guilin West Railway Station (桂林西站)

Location: No.12 Yongwai Avenue, Fengtai District, South Beijing (北京市丰台区永外大街12号)

Guilin West Railway Station is situated a little far from the city center, near Zhuangshang Village, Dingjiang Town, Lingchuan County, Guilin (桂林市灵川县定江镇庄上村附近 桂林西站). From this station, you can transfer by the local taxi, to the downtown for about 0.5hrs, to Elephant Trunk Hill for about 40mins, to the Li River for about 50mins, and to Longsheng Rice Terraces for about 1.5hrs, etc.

Guilin North Railway Station (桂林北站)

Some Guangzhou Guilin bullet trains, including most G trains, are served by Guilin North Railway Station. This station is at No.6 Zhanqian Road, Diecai District, Guilin City (桂林市叠彩区站前路6号 桂林北站). With a distance of about 6.5 kilometers to the downtown, it is closer than the Guilin West Station. From there, you could transfer by the taxi to Elephant Trunk Hill for about 40 minutes, to Li River for about 45 minutes, and to Longsheng Rice Terraces for about 1.5 hours. Guangzhou South Railway Station (广州南站)

Guangzhou South Railway Station is a little far from the city center, at Shibi Street, Panyu District, Guangzhou, Guangdong (广东省广州市番禺区石壁街道 广州南站). It usually needs about 0.5hrs to get to the downtown by the Metro Line 2 to visit attractions like Sun Yatsen Memorial Hall, Yue Xiu Park, and Six Banyan Tree, etc. From there, you could also take the Line 2 and Line 1 to Ancestral Temple of the Chen Family, Line 2 and Line 6 to Shamian Island Scenic Area, Line 7 to Chimelong Safari Park, Line 7 and Line 3 to the Canton Tower, and Line 2 and Line 3 to Guangzhou Baiyun International Airport, etc.

Class of Ticket

On high speed trains from Guilin to Guangzhou, there are two kinds of tickets are provided, including First Class Seat and Second Class Seat. Second Class Seat is the most budget level you will share a row space with other passengers. First Class of Seat is more comfortable and quiet for those who prefer a good rest on the way. Book, Collect, Alter and Cancel

For most high speed railway sections in China mainland, foreign tourists can book train ticket online or ask help from ticket agency, or buy the tickets physically at the train station with your valid passport. One thing you should remember is to book the ticket as early as possible, especially in peak tourist seasons. After collecting the tickets, please read carefully about the train number, departure date and station to make sure you won’t miss the train.
