Commonly, Guilin arranges two high speed trains running to Beijing every day, at 10:33am and 12:10pm respectively. The first G422 train arrives earlier after 10.5 hours’ running and G530 train gets to Beijing around 23:00pm with similar duration.

Guilin High Speed Train Route

Guilin Beijing High Speed Railway at a distance of 2,110km (1,311miles) is a high speed rail line that connects Guilin in the south China and Beijing in the north China. The railway starts from Guilin Railway Station in Guilin, and then travels on north section of Hunan Guangxi High Speed Railway to Changsha, and finally runs to Beijing on Beijing Guangzhou High Speed Railway after 10 hours 36 minutes’ or 45 minutes’ ride. You shall pass over than over 15 stations along the way, such as Hengyang (location of Mount Hengshan, or Nanyue Mountain),Wuhan (the largest city in central China with Yellow Crane Tower), Zhengzhou (location of Shaolin Temple and Zhongyue Mountain - Mount Song) and Shijiazhuang (石家庄).

Guilin Railway Station (桂林站)

Location: No.39, South Zhongshan Road, Xianshan District, Guilin City, Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region (广西壮族自治区桂林市象山区中山南路39号)

Guilin Railway Station is one of the three main train stations in Guilin and the oldest one that located closest to downtown area, about 40mins’ driving to Zhujiang Pier (or Mopanshan Passenger Wharf) to take Li River Cruise, 1.5 hours’ driving to Yangshuo and 45 mins’ driving to Guilin Liangjiang International Airport. The Station runs trains to Changsha via Hunan Guangxi High Speed Railway, to Shanghai, Beijing, Shenzhen, Guiyang, Nanjing, Wuhan, Nanning, and Zhengzhou on connected Guiyang Guangzhou High Speed Railway. It only takes around 3 hours to Shenzhen, 2.5 hours to Guangzhou and Nanning. Tourists can get to or leave there by local bus and taxi. There is no metro line nearby or at the station. The future Guilin Rail Transit Line 1 will connect the station with downtown, airport and other two stations (Guilin North and West Railway Station) directly. Beijing West Railway Station (北京西站)

Location: No.118, East Lianhuachi Road, Fengtai District, Beijing (北京市丰台区莲花池东路118号)

Beijing West Railway Station is one of the frequently used railway stations in Beijing, which lies about 25mins’ driving to Forbidden City and 1 hour’ driving to Beijing Capital International Airport. Serving Beijing Guangzhou High Speed Railway, Beijing Kowloon Railway and Beijing Lhasa (Tibet) Railway, it delivers nearly 280 trains (both high speed trains and normal trains) across the country, including high speed trains to Shanghai, Xian, Kunming, Nanjing, Wuhan, Xiamen and etc. The station can be arrived by taxi, bus, subway (Beijing Metro Line 7 and Line 9). Class of Ticket

There are three kinds of tickets are provided on high speed train from Guilin to Beijing, Business Class Seat, First Class Seat and Second Class Seat. Second Class Seat is the most budget level you will share a row space with other passengers. And the First Class of Seat is more comfortable and quiet for those who prefer a good rest on the way. Book, Collect, Alter and Cancel

Foreign tourists can book train ticket online or ask help from ticket agency, or buy the tickets physically at the train station with your valid passport. One thing you should remember is to book the ticket as early as possible, especially in peak tourist seasons. After collecting the tickets, please read carefully about the train number, departure date and station to make sure you won’t miss the train. 1) Prepare your documents well (valid passport with China Visa); 2) Get to the right train station in advance; 3) Collect train tickets; 4) Read your train ticket; 5) Pass the security control; 6) Pass through Security & Luggage Checks; 7) Find the right waiting room; 8) Cross the ticket checking gate; 9) Get to the right platform; 10) Get on your train. Baggage Allowance
