Beijing Chongqing High Speed Railway is a long high speed railway connecting Beijing in north China and Chongqing in southwest China. The length of the railway is 2176km (1352miles), nearly twice of the distance between Beijing and Shanghai, and the total ride lasts for 6 hours 55 minutes to 12 hours 5 minutes for there are over a dozen stations along the route. Departing from Beijing West Railway Station, Beijing, the railway is combined by four major parts in 6 provinces, including the Beijing Zhengzhou section (north segment of Beijing Guangzhou High Speed Railway), Zhengzhou Xian High Speed Railway, Xian Chengdu High Speed Railway and Chengdu Chongqing High Speed Railway. By taking this railway, it’s quite convenient to visit Mount Huashan, Terracota Warriors in Xian (Shaanxi Province) and Giant Pandas in Chengdu (Sichuan Province) and take a Yangtze River Cruise from Chongqing. Beijing West Railway Station (北京西站)

Beijing West Railway Station is located at No.118, East Lianhuachi Road, Fengtai District, West Beijing (北京市丰台区莲花池东路118号), about 25 mins’ drive to Forbidden City and 1 hour’s drive to Beijing Capital International Airport. Serving as one of the major train stations in Beijing, it provides passenger service on Beijing Guangzhou High Speed Railway, Beijing Lhasa (Tibet) Railway and Beijing Kowloon (Hong Kong) Railway. You can get to the station by taxi, local bus (Line 3, 9, 21, 40…), airport express (Line 7 to Beijing Capital International Airport), subway lines (Beijing Metro Line 7 and Line 9) and Beijing Underground Diameter Line (from Beijing Railway Station). Chongqing North Railway Station (重庆北站)

Chongqing North Railway Station is located at No. 51 #8 Kunnun Avenue, Yubei District, Chongqing (重庆市渝北区昆仑大道51号附8号), about 25 mins’ drive to Ciqikou Ancient Town, 30 mins’ drive to Chongqing China Three Gorges Museum and Chaotianmen Port, 1.5 hours’ drive to Dazu Rock Carvings and 0.5 hour’s drive to Chongqing Jiangbei International Airport. The station is one of the five main train stations in Chongqing, and it is linked by Chengdu Chongqing High Speed Railway and other ordinary railways between Chongqing and Lanzhou, Suining, Wanzhou, Huaihua and else cities. Chongqing West Railway Station (重庆西站)

Chongqing West Railway Station is located at No.168, Fengzhong Road, Shapingba District, Southwest Chongqing (重庆市沙坪坝区凤中路168号), about 20 mins’ drive to Ciqikou Ancient Town, 40 mins’ drive to Chongqing China Three Gorges Museum and Chaotianmen Port, 1.5 hours’ drive to Dazu Rock Carvings and 1 hour to Chongqing Jiangbei International Airport. Completed and opened in January, 2018, the station is one of the biggest modern comprehensive transportation hubs in southwest China. In the beginning period, it mainly delivers about 100 high speed trains to cities connected by Chengdu Chongqing High Speed Railway, Chongqing Kunming High Speed Railway, Chongqing Guiyang Railway and Lanzhou Chongqing Railway, including Beijing, Shanghai, Xian, Chengdu, Kunming, Guiyang, Guangzhou, Changsha, Zhengzhou, Qingdao, Tianjin, Nanchang and etc. Currently, the station can be reached by D bullet trains from Chongqing North Railway Station for 23 minutes, more than ten bus lines, airport shuttle bus (K06 from Chongqing Jiangbei International Airport) and taxi.
