  • Location: No. 1 Tiancheng Road, Jianggan District, Hangzhou (杭州市江干区天城路1号); about 9 kilometers (25 minutes by car) to Hangzhou downtown and about 6.5 kilometers (0.5 hour by car) to the West Lake

Hangzhou East Railway Station is the busiest train station in Hangzhou. It runs over 800 trains a day, and most of the trains are bullet trains (high-speed trains). How to Get to Hangzhou East Railway Station

By Metro

There are 2 metro lines connecting Hangzhou East Railway Station, including Line 1 and Line 4. The Line 1 can help you to travel from the train station to the West Lake (20 minutes), Hangzhou Railway Station (0.5 hour), Hangzhou Xiaoshan International Airport (1 hour), etc. And the Line 4 connects the train station with Hangzhou downtown in about 15 minutes. You can also ride the Line 1 or Line 4 metro first, and then change to other lines to get around.

It takes about 25 mins by car to travel from Hangzhou downtown to Hangzhou East Railway Station. And it also needs about 0.5 hour if you go from the northwest gate of Hangzhou West Lake to the train station.

How to Get to Hangzhou West Railway Station

By Metro

2 metro lines connect Hangzhou West Railway Station, including Line 3 and Line 19. The Line 3 can take you to Xixi National Wetland Park (about 0.5 hour), and the Line 19 connects the station with Xixi National Wetland Park (about 20 minutes), Hangzhou Xiaoshan International Airport (about 1 hour) and Hangzhou East Railway Station (about 40 minutes). You can also take Line 19 metro first, and then change to Line 1 metro to reach the West Lake (about 1 hour), or Hangzhou downtown (about 1 hour).

By Taxi/Private Car

It takes about 1 hour by car to travel from Hangzhou downtown to Hangzhou West Railway Station. And it also needs about 50 minutes to go from the northwest gate of Hangzhou West Lake to the train station.

Hangzhou Railway Station - The Closest to Hangzhou Downtown & West Lake

  • Chinese: 杭州站
  • Location: No. 1 Huancheng East Road, Shangcheng District, Hangzhou (浙江省杭州市上城区环城东路1号); located in the downtown area; about 2.3 kilometers (15 minutes by car) to the West Lake

Hangzhou Railway Station is located in Hangzhou downtown, and is the closest train station to the West Lake, with a short driving distance of 12 kilometers around in between them. This train station operates over 200 trains every day, most of which are ordinary K, Z, and T trains. Hangzhou Railway Station is accessible by Hangzhou Metro Line 1, 5 & Line 7. By taking the Line 1 metro, you can get to Hangzhou Railway Station from West Lake in about 15 minutes. Hangzhou South Railway Station - The Closest to Hangzhou Xiaoshan International Airport

  • Chinese: 杭州南站
  • Location: No. 1, Zhanqian Road, Xiaoshan District, Hangzhou City, Zhejiang Province, China (浙江省杭州市萧山区站前路1号); about 11 kilometers (0.5 hour by car) to Hangzhou downtown and about 15 kilometers (40 minutes by car) to the West Lake

Hangzhou South Railway Station is about 11 kilometers from Hangzhou downtown and 18 kilometers from Hangzhou West Lake (northwest gate). Compared with Hangzhou Railway Station and Hangzhou East Railway Station, it is relatively further to Hangzhou downtown. However, it is a little bit closer to Hangzhou Xiaoshan International Airport, which takes half an hour or so by car. The station has trains to/from Shanghai (1.5~2 hours), Suzhou (2~4 hours), Nanjing (2~6 hours), Ningbo (1~2 hours), etc.

By Metro

You can use Hangzhou Metro Line 5 to Hangzhou South Railway Station. With the help of Line 5, you can get to the station from Hangzhou Railway Station in about 40 minutes. It is also available to ride other metro lines first and then change to Line 5 to Hangzhou South Railway Station.

  • Chinese: 千岛湖站
  • Location: Qiandao Lake Town, Chun'an County, Hangzhou City, Zhejiang Province, China (杭州市淳安县千岛湖镇); about 28 kilometers (40 minutes by car) to the Qiandao Lake (Thousand Islands Lake).

Qiandaohu Railway Station is located in the Chun'an County of Hangzhou, which is on the middle way between Huangshan and Hangzhou and is about 108 kilometers (2.5 hours by car) away from Hangzhou downtown by car. Visitors who are heading to visit the beautiful Qiandao Lake can take a high-speed train to this station first and then ride a car or bus to the lake area. Qiandaohu Railway Station is about 30~40 minutes to Qiandao Lake by car. It runs trains to Shanghai (2~3 hours), Suzhou (2~3 hours), Hangzhou (about 1 hour), Huangshan (0.5~1 hour), Nanjing (2.5~4 hours), Xiamen (4.5~5 hours), Jingdezhen (1.5~2 hours), etc.
