Distance: Emeishan Railway Station is situated close to Baoguang Temple at the foot of Mount Emei, about 5km distance, very friendly for train travelers. It lies about 7km to the east Emei Railway Station in Emeishan City, about 36km west of Leshan Railway Station (the single high speed train station in Leshan City) and 40km to Leshan Giant Buddha, about 150km to Chengdu East Railway Station in the north.

How to Transfer from Emeishan Railway Station to Mount Emei

At the station square, there are taxi, several local city bus lines and special tourist buses offered for the convenience of tourists to Mount Emei scenic area. After arrival, you can take Bus No.12 at the station square, or walk about 500m from the train station to take Emeishan public No.5 at Yaozhongxiao Station (药中校站). You will pass Emeishan Emeishan Tour Passenger Transport Center (峨眉山旅游客运中心) and get off at Baoguo Temple Station (报国寺站) near Baoguo Temple, or Fuhu Temple Station close to the Fuhu Temple at the mountain foot. By Tourist Bus

There are also two special tourist bus lines operated from Emeishan Railway Station to major starting sites of Mount Emei, such as Bus Line 1 and Line 2 (business cars customized for luxury tour) going to Leidongping, Wannian Temple, Baoguo Temple.

Tips: 1.) At the foot of Mount Emei, there are a wide variety of accommodation and restaurants provided for overnight trippers. 2.) Baoguo Temple is starting point of both Western and Eastern Hiking of Mount Emei.

How to Transfer from Emei Railway Station to Mount Emei

By Bus: Local public buses like Bus No.1, 6, 8, 9 just runs between Emei Railway Station and downtown Emeishan City. You need to make additional transfer to Mount Emei if take the bus (costs nearly 1 ~1.5 hours).

By Taxi: Taking a taxi to the mountain scenic area needs about 20 minutes.
