Duration: about1 hour and 17 minutes-2.5 hours
Traveling between Chongqing and Chengdu is quite easy today and tourists like to transfer by high speed trains. Both G trains and D trains are available, and most of them depart from Chongqing North Railway Station to Chengdu East Railway Station. A few trains running from Chongqing to Chengdu Railway Station. The trip takes just about 1.5-2 hours and the entire trip is fast, smooth and comfortable as you’d expect a bullet train to be.
There are altogether over 80 pairs of daily high speed trains departing from Chongqing to Chengdu, among which, there are 52 G trains on service, and the rest are D trains. G trains are available from 06:52 till 22:47 at night. Most trains travel for 1 hour and 17 minutes to 1 hour and 51 minutes, and some other G trains would need 2 hours or a little more for arriving. D trains usually would take 1 hour and 51 minutes-2.5 hours from Chongqing to Chengdu. There are the Second Class Seats (154.0RMB/p), First Class Seats and Business Class Seats on Chongqing Chengdu G trains, Second Class Seats and First Class Seats on D trains, classified by different levels with different prices. As the whole journey is short, the Second Class Seats are enough for your transfer. And you could use the saving expense to do more fun things and enjoy more great local snacks in Chongqing and Chengdu.
Chongqing City Light Rail
Stations: Chongqing North, West – Beijing South
Length: 2,063 KM (1,282 miles)
Duration: about 12 hours
Chongqing has two morning bullet G trains from Chongqing to the capital city Beijing. The whole journey would take about 12 hours, and the first high speed train usually depart at 08:04 at Chongqing West Railway Station and arrive at Beijing West Station at 19:53 at night. Since the trip time is a little longer, we suggest you choose the first class seat or business class seat to have a more comfortable trip if you go between Chongqing and Beijing by the bullet train.
The Great Wall
Stations: Chongqing West, North – Shanghai, Shanghai Hongqiao
Length: 1,672 KM (1,228 miles)
Duration: about 10.5-12.5 hours
Chongqing has high speed G, D trains running to Shanghai Railway Station and Shanghai Hongqiao Railway Station every day for travelers. All bullet trains are available from 7:15 till 11:36 in the morning. Along the way, High Speed Trains make stopover at some tourist cities like Guiyang, Kaili, Nanjing, Suzhou, Hangzhou, etc. For the whole journey from Chongqing to Shanghai takes more than 10 hours, you can also divide the journey into some short tours. If you don’t like the High Speed Train journey, you can also take the Yangtze River cruises.

Duration: about 5-5.5 hours
Just operated in December of 2017, high speed trains between Xian and Chongqing have shortened transferring time down to only about 5 hours, which really benefits the traveling in both popular tourist cities in China. For your convenience, 15 daily G, D trains are arranged from around 08:41 to 18:32. For Xian to Chongqing, there are 7 daily D trains and 8 G train for your choices too.
Xian North Railway Station
Stations: Chongqing North – Guangzhou South
Length: 1,945 KM (1,209 miles)
Duration: about 11.5-12 hours
High speed trains depart from Chongqing North Station to Guangzhou South Station. Every day, there are 3 G trains serving for tourists, businessmen, visitors and so many people to transfer from Chongqing, the Mountain City to Guangzhou, one of the three major metropolises in China. G1314, the earliest train, departs at 07:49 and arrives in Guangzhou at 19:45, followed by G1318 at 10:12 and G314 at 11:39. The whole travel needs 11.5-12 hours. The trains pass Hubei, Hunan and Guangdong provinces and run during daytime, you could get relaxed to appreciate the different sightseeing along the way from the Southwest China to the Southern China.
Guangzhou South Railway Station
