Li River

Li River is the centerpiece of any trip to Guilin for the amazing Karst peaks along the river and the reflections created by the crystal waters of the river. On either side of the river are sheer limestone cliffs, which enhance the overall experience.

Cruising from Guilin to Yangshuo County

Whenever you travel to Guilin, taking a cruise down the Li River to Yangshuo county should be at the top of your list for things to do. The river trip is over 83 kilometers (52 miles) long and is estimated to take four to five hours.

The whole Li River cruise can be divided into three sections, including: The first section is from Guilin to Ox Gorge, where you can see the famous Elephant Trunk Hill, Rooster Fighting Hill, Forest of Odd Shaped Peaks and Daxu Ancient Touwn.

The second section is from Ox Gorge to Water-Dropping Village, which is the most breathtaking part, especially from Yangdi and Xingping, where you can see nature in all its glory, creating a memory to be cherished for life.

Li River Cruise Tips:
It usually takes five hours cruising from Guiling to Yangshuo, but during the rainy season, since the river flows faster, it may take only four hours, while in hot, dry months, it may takes six hours because the river moves slower.
