Full Itinerary Day by day (Can Be Customized)

Day 1 Huangshan Arrival

Welcome to Huangshan! Upon arrival, be greeted by our local tour guide who is holding a sign with your name in the Arrival Hall of Huangshan Tunxi Airport or Huangshan North Railway Station. Then a comfortable vehicle (non-smoking) with an experienced driver will transfer you directly to your hotel in Huangshan downtown. Your guide will help you check in. The rest of the day is on your own to discover this beautiful city. 

Arrival ideas: Currently, there are non-stop flights to Huangshan from Beijing, Guangzhou, Xian and Chengdu, etc., usually 2 daily flights from each city. You can also take high speed trains from Shanghai (2.5~3.5hrs), Hangzhou (1.5~2hrs), Beijing (5.5~7hrs), and Guangzhou (7hrs), etc.

Day 2 Huangshan Hiking (B)

Route: Mercy Light Pavilion - Greeting Guest Pine - Lotus Peak - Baiyun Hotel
Length: about 14km/8 hrs

Today after breakfast, our guide and driver will pick you up at your hotel, then drive about 80 kilometers (1.5 hour-drive) to Mount Huangshan Scenic Area. Mt. Huangshan, also named Yellow Mountain, is  listed as the UNESCO World Heritage Sites and regarded as the loveliest mountain in China. It attracts swarm of travelers to enjoy its breathtaking scenery which is known as Yellow Mountain Five Wonders - “Odd-shaped Pines, Spectacular Rocky Peaks, Sea of Clouds, Hot Spring and Winter Snow”. 

Start your hiking from the Mercy Light Pavilion to Baiyun Hotel, which need about 7~9 hours to finish by walking. The first half hiking takes about 4 hours from the lower Mercy Light Pavilion to Greeting Guests Pine. The highlighting sightseeing gathers in the second half hiking. You will firstly visit the symbol of Mount Huangshan - Greeting Guests Pine, then follow the uprising stone steps to the highest peak on the Mount Huang - Lotus Peak(1864m). Walk down from the Lotus Peak, and take the One Hundred Cloud Ladder from to a lower valley, then climb the steeping path of One-Line-Sky to get to Turtle Fish Peak. From the peak, an even path leads you to today's final destination - Baiyun Hotel, one of the best hotels on the mountain.

Accommodate at Baiyun Hotel. Have a good rest.

Day 3 West Sea Grand Canyon Hiking (B)

Route: Baiyun Hotel - West Sea Grand Canyon - Bright Summit - Beihai Hotel
Length: about 13km/7 hrs

Try to get up early in the morning to witness the majestic sunrise near your hotel. If weather permits, you can gaze upon a breath-taking sight as the golden light of the sun piercing the mists, and rocky peaks rising above the frothy, ever-changing sea of white clouds illuminated by the light of sunrise. 

After breakfast, start the full day adventure of West Sea Grand Canyon. You will have a hiking from Baiyun Hotel, via the Baiyun New Path, to the deep bottom of the valley where fewer visitors visit but the scenery is pretty. Famous sites include Stone-bed Peak, Fairy-walking Bridge, etc. After about 6 kilometers' walking, you will get to the Tourist Center (down station for cableway). Take some rest, after then you will challenge the most difficult part (length about 3km) - the 1st Ring and 2nd Ring, which are connected by narrow and abrupt stone paths constructed on the cliffs. Though you may need about 2 or more hours to finish it but all your efforts will be worth taking because the views are as incredible as the Avatar world. Lastly, you will get to the highest location - Dispelling Cloud Pavilion where you can enjoy a wonderful panoramic view.

Go on to finish the last 3 kilometers' hiking to explore the Sky Sea Scenic Area where you can enjoy the sunset from the second highest peak - Bright Summit (1840m), visit the incredible Flying-over Rock, and then check in your hotel and have a good rest.

(Please Note: from December to the middle March of next year, the West Sea Grand Canyon is usually closed for the heavy snow and bad road condition. Please feel free to consult our travel specialists to adjust your itinerary.)

Day 4 Huangshan Departure (B)

Route: Beihai Hotel - Lion Peak - White Goose Ridge - Yungu Temple
Length: about 10km/4 hrs

Get up early (usually around 5am to 6am) to enjoy the magnificent sunrise from Huangshan. We suggest you watch the sunrise from the Refreshing Terrance which is only a few minutes’ walking from Beihai Hotel. In good-weather days, you can see clearly the golden light of the sun piercing the mists, and rocky peaks rising above the frothy, ever-changing sea of white clouds. After the sunrise, get back to your hotel for breakfast.

Continue on your wonderful sightseeing on the Yellow Mountain to see the famous Dawn Pavilion, Stone Monkey Watching the Sea on the Lion Peak (1690m). Then walk to another legendary peak -Beginning-to-Believe Peak (how the name come - an ancient traveler began to believe that Mount Huangshan was the most beautiful mountain after seeing the stunning landscapes on the Beginning-to-Believe Peak). The famous Black Tiger Pine locates along the road to the Beginning-to-Believe Peak.

Lastly, you will descend the mountain from the White Goose Ridge to Yungu Temple, which is an easy walking of about two and a half hours along wide but a bit precipitous stone steps. After reaching the Yungu Temple, the park bus will transfer you to the Tangkou Town where your driver is ready to pick you up. The rest of today is free until being transferred to catch your flight/train to next destination.

1. This price is for one person, based on a group of 2 adults sharing one standard double-bed room in a 4-star hotel and traveling with our private tour in low seasons.
