4 Days Leisure Guilin Tour with Half-day Cycling in Yangshuo

Day 1 Guilin Arrival

Welcome to Guilin, the most scenic city in China. Upon arrival, your personal tour guide and driver will meet you at the airport or train station, and then escort you to your hotel. The rest of the day is yours to have fun on your own.

Evening Ideas: In the evening, if you want, you can to take a leisure walk around the famous city water system - Two Rivers and Four Lakes for the amazing night views.

Arrival Ideals: At present, there are many international and domestic flights to Guilin. Besides, you can take a high speed train to Guilin from Guiyang (about 2.5 hours), Guangzhou (about 3 hours), Changsha (about 3.5 hours), etc.

Day 2 Li River Cruise to Yangshuo (B, L)

As the declaration in Chinese textbook "Guilin’s landscape is the best under heaven", today you will explore this best landscape starting with a relaxing sightseeing cruise along the Li River from Mopanshan Pier to Yangshuo Town. Along the 84-kilometer cruise, dazzling scenery overwhelms your eyes like a vast endless Chinese painting of winding river, green limestone karst mountains, fascinating countryside views. (Please note: Lunch served on the cruise is very simple. You’d better take some snacks when getting on board.)

After about 4 hours’ cruise, disembark in Yangshuo Town, and check in your hotel. Take a short break, throw yourself into the stunning countryside views and relaxed atmosphere. Be enthralled by the patches of paddy fields nestling under green hills and near the mirror-like river, with farmers cultivate the soil with their water buffalos.

After that, walk leisurely on the ancient West Street to witness how the western culture and Chinese culture perfectly and peacefully coexist here. Whether you want to enjoy a cup of drink in bar, taste some local food, or just experience the relaxing atmosphere, you get it here.

Optional evening activity:

Watch the splendid evening performance of Impression Liu Sanjie with the Li River itself as the stage, which was directed by famous director - Zhang Yimou (usually performs for an hour between around 19:45 and 22:20).

Day 3 Yangshuo Countryside Cycling Tour - Guilin (B, L)

In this morning, you will enjoy a relaxing biking tour to explore beautiful countryside views of Yangshuo - serene pastoral view, fantastic limestone mountains, peaceful farming villages, and roaming water buffaloes…

Route A: You’ll ride along this classic route from Yangshuo - Yulong River - Gongnong Bridge - Big Banyan Tree - Moon Hill - Yueliang Village - Fushansi - Yan Village - Tianjiahe - Aishan Village and then ride back to Yangshuo. The whole ride usually takes about 4-5 hours which is suitable for most travelers.

Route B: You’ll ride from Yangshuo - Baisha Jinbao Crossroad - Yulong Bridge - Jiuxian Village - Xinglong Village - Zhaoyang Village - Yulong River - Gonglong Bridge - Big Banyan Tree - Moon Hill - Ten-mile Gallery and then ride back to West Street. This itinerary will ride through primitive villages, rice fields and old bridges, usually taking about 4-5 hours. It is mostly chosen by bike fanciers.

Good to Know:

1. The above Route A and Route B are for your reference and feel free to tell your likes to your travel consultants who can customize a perfect cycling itinerary for you.

2. The cycling is very flexible and you can stop to rest or shoot many beautiful pictures at any place. If you feel the cycling length is a bit longer or shorter for you, just tell your ideas to your guide who would adjust the pace and itinerary based on your likes and physical condition.

3. You’ll visit Big Banyan Tree and Moon Hill for in-depth exploration. Banyan Tree was said to be the place where the legendary singer of Zhuang Ethnic Group sang beautiful melodies. Moon Hill is a moon-shaped hole and if you like, you can climb up the hill for a panoramic view of the idyllic countryside.

4. You have chance to pay a visit to a family of local farmers and gain a better understanding about their daily life.

5. If you are interested, you can enjoy bamboo rafting, kayaking, and hiking in the countryside of Yangshuo.

After the tour, transfer back to Guilin in a comfortable vehicle (about 70 km, 1.5~2hrs).

Day 4 Guilin & Guilin Departure (B, L)

After breakfast, you will make a visit to the symbol of Guilin landscape - Elephant Trunk Hill. A giant rock hill vividly shapes like an elephant which is drinking water. Besides, there are many historical sites here for you to explore, such as stone carving, Buddhist temple, relic exhibition, etc.

Then, drive about 7 kilometers (about 20 minutes) to next attraction - Reed Flute Cave, a majestic underground palace with sparkling different colors. The magical Mother Nature condenses millions years of natural efforts to form the incredible stalactite, stalagmite, stone shield and stone waterfall of different sizes and shapes.

Then, be transferred to Guilin airport or railway station to catch your flight / train to the next destination or home. Tour ends!

The quotation for this trip is from $339 Per Person

1. This price is for one person, based on a group of 2 adults sharing one standard double-bed room in a 4-star hotel and traveling with our private tour in low seasons.
2. This price is subject to change according to your traveling season, group size, hotel class, change of activities in your itinerary and possible fluctuation of currency exchange rate. If you want a lower price, you can get more people to join you, or use economy class hotels.
3. This price is only valid to March 31, 2025.
4. Reference exchange rate of USD 1=RMB 7.00. The final quote is based on current exchange rate. It may change according to the currency fluctuation, while the RMB quotation will be remained the same.

1A: Wing Zeng always responds to our emails very promptly. At the beginning when I planned to book the cruise, Wing Zeng has been very patient to respond to all my questions about the cruise itinerary and the cabin types. I am very happy with her service.

2A: With Wing Zeng's help, our tour arrangements were very smooth. Our family travel with one senior and one small child, so we were very careful about transportation to and from the port. On the day of embarkation, Wing Zeng helped us book a van transfer directly from our hotel in Jingzhou to the port, which made the embarkation process very smooth and enjoyable.

3A: Definitely. I highly recommend your service to anyone who wants to take the Yangtze cruises.

4A: I'm very satisfied with your service. Our travel consultant is very helpful and professional.

5A: It would be nice if you could give a little warning that the water level in Chongqing might be too low around this time of year. Originally, our cruise was scheduled to end at Chongqing Chaotianmen port. But because of the low water level, we had to disembark somewhere else and took a 2-hour drive to Chaotianmen. The cruise arranges the transfer smoothly and it worked out fine in the end. But if this is something that happens usually around this time of year, it would be nice to be given a little warning beforehand.
