Traveling between Chongqing and Chengdu is quite easy today and tourists like to transfer by high speed trains. Both G trains and D trains are available, and most of them depart from Chongqing North Railway Station to Chengdu East Railway Station. A few trains running from Chongqing to Chengdu Railway Station. The trip takes just about 1.5-2 hours and the entire trip is fast, smooth and comfortable as you’d expect a bullet train to be.

There are altogether over 80 pairs of daily high speed trains departing from Chongqing to Chengdu, among which, there are 52 G trains on service, and the rest are D trains. G trains are available from 06:52 till 22:47 at night. Most trains travel for 1 hour and 17 minutes to 1 hour and 51 minutes, and some other G trains would need 2 hours or a little more for arriving. D trains usually would take 1 hour and 51 minutes-2.5 hours from Chongqing to Chengdu. There are the Second Class Seats (154.0RMB/p), First Class Seats and Business Class Seats on Chongqing Chengdu G trains, Second Class Seats and First Class Seats on D trains, classified by different levels with different prices. As the whole journey is short, the Second Class Seats are the most budget choices for your transfer. And you could use the saving expense to do more fun things and enjoy more great local snacks in Chongqing and Chengdu.

Chongqing has two morning bullet G trains from Chongqing to the capital city Beijing. The whole journey would take about 12 hours, and the first high speed train usually depart at about 08:00am at Chongqing West Railway Station and arrive at Beijing West Station at 19:53 at night. Since the trip time is a little longer, we suggest you choose the first class seat or business class seat to have a more comfortable trip if you go between Chongqing and Beijing by the bullet train.
